eSIM Activation Guide - iPhone

Step 1: Access Settings

Navigate to your iPhone's Settings app.

In the settings menu, select "Mobile Data".

Step 2: Add eSIM

Once you are on the "Mobile Data" screen, select "Add eSIM".

Step 3: Set Up Mobile Service

From the "Set Up Mobile Service" screen, select "Use QR Code".

Step 4: Scan QR Code

The device camera will open. Position the QR code provided by your network provider in the frame to scan it.

If you are unable to scan the QR Code, you can select "Enter Details Manually" to input the activation codes.

The subsequent steps are the same whether you use a QR Code or manual entry.

Step 5: Device Registration

The device will register the QR code once it is successfully captured within the camera frame.

Step 6: Activate eSIM

Click "Continue" to activate and install the eSIM onto your device.

Step 7: eSIM Activating

The eSIM will begin to activate and install. This process may take a few minutes.

Step 8: Mobile Plan Labels

After activation is complete, you can assign a name or label to your new eSIM for easy identification. This allows you to choose how you want to use your new eSIM.

Once you have set the label, click "Continue".

Step 9: Set Default Line

You will be prompted to choose your default line for sending SMS messages and making calls. This can be your new eSIM or any other active SIM on your device.

Once you have made your selection, click "Continue".

Step 10: iMessage & FaceTime Setup

You will be asked to select which SIM you want to use for iMessage and FaceTime. You can choose your new eSIM or any other active SIM on your device.

Once you have made your selection, click "Continue".

Step 11: Mobile Data Configuration

You will be asked to choose which SIM you want to use for your Mobile Data. You can select your new eSIM or any other active SIM on your device.

Once you have made your selection, click "Done".

Step 12: eSIM Activated and Switched On

Once the setup is complete, return to the "Mobile Data" screen to view the status (active or inactive) of your SIMs. You can tap on your active eSIM to see more details.

Step 13: eSIM Details – Data Roaming

To enable Mobile Data for your new eSIM, navigate to the eSIM details within the "Mobile Data" screen and switch "Data Roaming" to the ON position.
