Increased Value with HPE Integrity i6 Servers and HP-UX 11i v3

HPE Integrity i6 servers offer 8 TB Memory single instance, with NVMe workload accelerator providing a 140% performance increase, now also supported as Read cache. This enhances efficiency, proven stability, and improved availability.

Key features include:

• Increased Efficiency: NVMe workload accelerator with 140% performance increase.
• Proven Stability: Standard support through at least 2025, Serviceguard support for Oracle 19c (Single Instance & RAC), 100% binary compatible RAC 19c, and Mature Product Support without sustaining engineering through at least 2028.
• Improved Availability: Open Source security products update, Online HP-UX vPar migration, and Serviceguard Storage Management Suite A.05-certified with Oracle RAC 19c.

Additional benefits include Java updates, better data management with Veritas 6.1, and support for HPE XP8, HPE Primera, HPE MSA2060, and HPE Alletra 9000.

HP-UX 11i v3 2021 Update Release - What's New

2021 Update Release

• New Storage Support: XP8 array support (with VxVM), MSA 2060 support (with LVM).
• Enhanced Security & Open Source Updates: OpenSSL 1.1.1 available with HP-UX Media. CIFS Server 4.12, Apache Web Server 2.4.41, Tomcat 9 and PHP 7.4.
• Higher Availability: HA support for XP8 & MSA2060, Serviceguard support for Oracle DB 19c (both Single Instance & RAC), Serviceguard Storage Management Suite A.05 - certified with Oracle RAC 19c.
• Application Interoperability: Oracle 19c support, with plans to upgrade to 19c (Long-Term Support Release). Java 7, Java 8 & Java 11 CPU update releases. 64-bit support for "pax" command.
• Improved Compatibility/Other Enhancements: System Management Homepage (SMH) supports SHA-256 certificates. Updated Quality Pack consolidating proven defect fixes.

Futures

• New Storage Support: MSA 2060 support (with VxVM), LTO-9 Tape Support.
• Development Tool Chain Enhancements: C 11, C++ 14 compiler standards enablement.
• Open Source & Security Updates: OpenSSH, OpenSSL, CIFS refresh.

Note: 2021 update release is strictly for use on HPE Integrity servers only and not on HPE 9000 PA-RISC systems.

HPE Integrity Servers for HP-UX Support Lifecycle

• HPE Integrity Superdome 2: i6 and i4 support through December 31, 2025.
• HPE Integrity BL8x0c Server Blades: i6 and i4 support through December 31, 2025.
• HPE Integrity rx2800 server: i6 and i4 support through December 31, 2025.

Note: Standard support will be available through at least the dates shown above. After the end of Standard support, HPE Pointnext Services may continue to provide Extended support until the eventually determined End of Support Life date. ICAP Roadmap for HPE Integrity Superdome 2

• ICAP: Integrity i4 RTU only until December 31, 2025; Integrity i6 RTU only until December 31, 2025.
• TICAP: i4, i6 support until December 31, 2025.
• GICAP: GICAP support until December 31, 2025.

Notes: Instant Capacity hardware has the same product lifecycle as the equivalent active component. Both versions of the component will become available, go obsolete, and no longer be covered by standard support at the same point in time. The Right to Use for an Instant Capacity component will remain on HPE's Corporate Price List as long as the hardware component is supported. The Right to Use will not be orderable after the End of Support date for the hardware. Temporary Instant Capacity will remain available as long as there is at least one Instant Capacity processor for the server still covered under standard HPE support.
