Pure Evoke H4 DAB/FM Radio

Getting Started

This guide provides instructions for setting up and using your Pure Evoke H4 radio.

In the box: Evoke H4 unit, Power adaptor, UK plug, EU plug, Quick Start Guide, Safety and information sheet.

Setup:

1. Connect the power adaptor to the unit and a power outlet.
2. Extend and position the antenna for optimal reception.
3. Turn on the unit. The unit will automatically scan for DAB stations.

Product Controls

The Evoke H4 features several controls:

• Volume dial: Turn to adjust volume up/down. Push to mute.
• Menu/Back button: Accesses menus and returns to the previous screen.
• Bluetooth pair/unpair button: Initiates Bluetooth pairing or disconnects.
• Select source button: Cycles through available audio sources.
• Kitchen timer button: Configures and manages the kitchen timer.
• Preset list button: Accesses saved radio presets.
• Quick access presets: Buttons for direct recall of saved stations.

DAB Radio

Use the select dial to navigate the DAB station list. Push the select dial to select a station.

FM Radio

Use the select dial to navigate FM stations. Turn the dial slowly to increase or decrease the radio frequency. Turn the dial quickly to scan for the next or previous station.

Bluetooth

Switch to Bluetooth source. Pairing mode starts automatically. To disconnect, press and hold the Bluetooth button for 2 seconds.

Auxiliary Input

Connect a line-level audio device (e.g., external music player) to listen through the receiver.

USB Playback

Connect a USB memory stick*, select 'Music Player' mode, and listen to stored MP3 music files. For compatibility information, visit support.pure-audio.com.

DAB & FM Presets

Saving Presets

To save the current playing radio station to the preset list:

1. Hold the preset list button for 2 seconds.
2. Turn the select dial to navigate to the desired preset slot.
3. Push the select dial to save the station to the highlighted slot.

To save to a quick preset button, hold the desired preset button for 2 seconds.

Recalling Presets

To recall a preset from the preset list:

1. Tap the preset list button.
2. Turn the select dial to navigate the preset list.
3. Push the select dial to tune in to the highlighted radio station.

To recall a station saved to a quick preset button, tap the button.

EQ Settings

To access EQ settings:

1. Press the menu button.
2. Highlight 'System Settings' using the select encoder and push the select dial.
3. Highlight the 'Equaliser' option and push the select dial.
4. Highlight the desired Equaliser option and push the select dial.

EQ Options:

• Dynamic: For deep-bass extension and dynamic vocals and instruments.
• Comfort: For easy listening all day.
• Neutral: For sound as close to the source material as possible.

Kitchen Timer

Using the Kitchen Timer

1. Press the timer button to configure a kitchen timer.
2. Push the select dial to toggle through hours, minutes, and seconds.
3. Turn the select dial to adjust each value. The timer will start automatically.

To view a running kitchen timer, tap the timer button again. To adjust the running time, use the select dial. The timer will continue with its updated running time automatically.

To cancel the running timer, long-press the timer button.
