Safety Instructions

- This appliance is intended for household use only and for its designed purpose.
- This appliance is not to be used by children under 8 years of age. Children aged 8 and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience/knowledge, may use it if supervised or instructed on safe use and hazards. Children must not play with the appliance. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children under 8. Cleaning and maintenance should only be performed by children over 8 under supervision.
- To prevent electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug, or appliance in water or any other liquid. ⚡️
- Accessible surfaces may become hot during operation. ?
- The appliance is not designed for operation with an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- The surface is liable to get hot during use.
Parts Description
The Tristar PD-8915 contact grill includes the following parts:
- 1. Indicator light (red/green)
- 2. Safety lock
- 3. Grill plates
- 4. Button to open at 180°
- 5. Drip tray

Before First Use
- Remove the appliance and accessories from the box. Take off any stickers, protective foil, or plastic.
- Place the device on a flat, stable surface, ensuring at least 10 cm of free space around it. This device is not suitable for installation in a cabinet or for outdoor use.
- Connect the power cable to the socket. (Note: Ensure the voltage indicated on the device matches your local voltage before connecting. Voltage: 220V-240V~ 50/60Hz).
- A slight odor may occur when the device is first turned on. This is normal; ensure adequate ventilation. The smell is temporary and will fade quickly.
Using the Grill
- Plug the appliance into the socket; the indicator light will turn red.
- Allow the appliance to preheat while closed and empty.
- Grilling can begin when the indicator light turns green. ✔️
- Optionally, lightly grease the non-stick coating of the grill plates with oil or butter.
- Place prepared ingredients on the bottom grill plate and close the grill by pressing the handle down. The upper plate tilts to ensure even pressure. Typical preparation time is 5-8 minutes, varying by dish and personal preference. The closed design speeds up cooking.
- The appliance can also be opened 180° to be used as a flat grill for meat, fish, and vegetables. ▶️
- To use as an open grill, release the latch on the side of the handle and flip the lid backward.
- The drip tray collects any excess grease or fat released during grilling.
- The appliance becomes very hot during use; avoid contact to prevent serious injury. ?
- Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely after use and before cleaning.
- Use the safety lock to secure the lid for easy moving and storage, either vertically or horizontally.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool down with both halves open.
- Clean the grill plates with a damp cloth or a soft brush.
- Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh, abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or steel wool, as they can damage the appliance.
- Never immerse the electrical appliance in water or any other liquid. It is not dishwasher safe. ❌
Environment
Dispose of waste electrical products responsibly. Recycle where facilities exist. Consult your local authority or store for recycling advice. ♻️
