Safety Information

Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate, or install the product. This unit is intended for residential use only.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING: POTENTIAL ELECTRICAL HAZARD IF NOT FOLLOWED. When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

Notes:

WARNING: It is normal for the power cord to feel warm to the touch. However, a loose fit between the outlet and the plug may cause overheating of the plug. If this occurs, try inserting the plug into a different outlet. Contact a qualified electrician to inspect the original outlet for damage.

Note: The cooling capacity of the unit may be affected by the height of your ceiling, quality of your insulation, or number of windows in your room. DELLA has made every effort to design and engineer a superior quality portable air conditioning unit that effectively and efficiently cools selected areas of the home or office. These portable air conditioner units are designed and engineered to provide supplemental air conditioning. To gain a better understanding of the performance capabilities of your new portable AC unit, you can contact your retailer in advance.

LCDI Plug Instruction

If you plug in the Air Conditioner, and there is no green light on the plug. Press the reset button on the LCDI plug. The green light should be on, indicating that the air conditioner is getting power from the electrical outlet.

If the plug continues to trip (which is a USA national safety standard feature) and the green light goes off, the cord may be damaged preventing you from resetting the unit. For your safety, contact a licensed electrician.

The remote control has the following buttons:

Point the remote control handset towards the control panel of the unit and press the relevant button:

Battery Installation:

Before using your remote, install two AAA batteries into the remote control.

  1. Press and slide the battery cover on the back of the remote control to remove it.
  2. Insert two new alkaline AAA batteries into the battery compartment, ensuring proper polarity.
  3. Reattach the battery cover, making sure the locking tab clicks into place.

Note: Be sure to note proper polarity of batteries.

Battery Notes:

Remote Control Storage:

  1. Insert the remote controller into the bracket in the back of the unit.
  2. To avoid losing the remote control, please keep it stored when not in use.

Important Notes on Operation:

Safety Protection Features:

  1. Anti-frozen protection function: Under COOL mode, if the tube temperature is ≤36°F/2°C for 20 seconds after the compressor runs for over 10 minutes, the anti-frozen protection will activate. The LCD display will show 'E4', and the compressor and water wheel motor will stop working, while the upper fan continues running. If the tube temperature rises to ≥46°F/8°C, the unit will stop anti-frozen protection and recover to original working condition. The compressor will restart with a 3-minute delay for protection.
  2. Auto Defrosting Operation: If the coil temperature is too low and humidity is too high, frost may form on the coils. The air conditioner will stop operation for 8-10 minutes for auto defrosting. Once the coils reach a temperature that prevents frost formation, the operation will recover automatically. Turn on your machine and wait for three minutes.
  3. Water-Full Water Level Protection: This is performed by a water-level switch. The switch is always closed and opens only when an abnormal situation occurs in the water reservoir. When the reservoir is full, the switch moves, and the unit stops working. Please drain the water.

Installation Instructions

ATTENTION:

The unit is a portable air conditioner that can be moved from room to room.

Note: The window kit is designed for sliding windows or doors only and is not suitable for casement style windows.

Assemble the Outdoor Adaptor:

Align the two halves of the outer adaptor and gently snap them together. Note: To prevent damage, do not use excessive pressure.

Install the Outward Adaptor and Window Slide Bar:

  1. Measure and verify if your window kit fits the dimensions of your sliding window. If the kit is larger than your window dimensions, it can be cut with a saw or power tool. If the kit is too short, you may order an additional window kit from the online store.
  2. Screw the slide bar connector into the exhaust hose.
  3. Spin the exhaust hose into the air outlet located at the rear of the unit (counter-clockwise).
  4. Insert the slide bar connector into the adjustable slide bar.
  5. Extend its length to match the width of the window (vertically or horizontally), and then tighten the screw to hold the length of the slide bar.
  6. Ensure the adjustable slide bar fits your window securely and stays in place.
  7. Close and lock your window on the slide Bar.

Or Install Directly Through a Wall/Window:

Cut a 150mm diameter hole in the wall or window, and feed the exhaust hose through the opening.

Drainage

1. Manual Drain:

This unit features a high-efficiency self-evaporative system where condensate is recycled. However, under extreme humidity, manual draining may be necessary. The portable air conditioner has an inner water reservoir with a safety micro switch. When the reservoir is full, the safety switch activates, and an alert icon turns on, indicating manual draining is required through the water hole on the back of the unit.

To manually drain the unit: Turn off the unit, place a pan or tray under the water hole, remove the plug and cap, and let the water drain. Once fully drained, replace the plug and turn the unit back on.

2. Continuous Drainage:

Unscrew the drain cover and unplug the water stopper. Connect a 12mm drain hose to the drain hole, ensuring it reaches as deep as possible to avoid leakage. Route the drain hose to a bathroom or outdoor drain.

Please note: The drain outlet must be at or below the level of the drain hose connection. NOTE: You need to purchase a 13mm PVC drain hose separately.

Maintenance

ATTENTION:

  1. Before cleaning, turn the unit OFF and disconnect it from the electrical outlet.
  2. Do not use gasoline or other chemicals to clean the unit.
  3. Do not submerge the unit in water for cleaning.
  4. Dry thoroughly before reassembling or storing.
  5. Never operate the unit without the air filter installed.

Cleaning the Housing:

To clean the unit's surface, use a gentle detergent and a damp cloth, then wipe dry with a soft clean cloth. Avoid strong chemicals, oil-based products, detergents, or chemically treated cloths, as these can damage the housing.

Cleaning the Filter:

The air filter should be cleaned at least every 2 weeks to prevent clogging with dust and dirt. Open the air inlet grille on the back of the unit, remove the air filters, and clean them with a gentle detergent in lukewarm water. Allow the filters to dry completely, preferably in direct sunlight, before reinserting them into the unit.

Additional Maintenance and Tasks Prior to Storage:

To Return Unit for Warranty or Repair:

It is important to package the unit correctly. Reuse all original Styrofoam and cardboard packaging. Repackaging should be the reverse of the unpacking process.

Reminder:

Unit contains R410A. Waste Electrical products must not be disposed of with household waste. This product should be taken to your local recycling center for safe treatment.
