Safety Function

The desired maximum temperature, for example max. 42°C, can be pre-set thanks to the safety function.

Adjustment

After the installation, the output temperature of the thermostat must be checked. A correction is necessary if the temperature measured at the output differs from the temperature set on the thermostat.

Assembly Steps

The following describes the assembly steps based on the provided diagrams.

  1. Step 1: Prepare the wall for installation, ensuring correct pipe spacing (e.g., 150 mm center-to-center for G 1/2 connections).
  2. Step 2: Mount the wall unions into the wall.
  3. Step 3: Attach the main mixer body to the wall unions.
  4. Step 4: Connect the shower hose to the shower outlet.
  5. Step 5: Connect the tub spout to the tub outlet.
  6. Step 6: Install the thermostat cartridge into the mixer body.
  7. Step 7: Attach the control handles and trim.
  8. Step 8: Connect hot and cold water supply lines to the mixer.
  9. Step 9: Perform initial flushing and leak checks.
  10. Step 10: Adjust the Safety Function to set the desired maximum temperature (e.g., 42°C).
  11. Step 11: Check the final output temperature and make adjustments if necessary.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning is recommended using mild cleaning agents. Avoid abrasive cleaners or those containing acetic acid.

Maintenance includes regular checks of check valves (at least annually) and occasional "exercising" of the thermostat by moving it between fully hot and fully cold settings to ensure smooth operation.
