Important Note Before Use

Before using the scale, remove the plastic wrap from around the battery and install the battery using the steps listed under Battery Replacement.

How to Use Your Scale

Scale Use:

1. Place the scale on a flat, hard surface for maximum accuracy.
2. Step onto the scale, distributing your weight evenly across the platform. Stand still while the scale calculates your weight. The LED display will flash "0" several times before displaying your weight. Remain still while reading the display.
3. The scale offers two modes: "Instant ON" (step directly onto the scale) or "Tap ON" (tap the lower right corner and wait for "0.0" before stepping on).
4. If "====" appears on the display during "Instant ON" weighing, the scale has recalibrated. Step on the scale again to weigh yourself.
5. Your weight will remain displayed for a few seconds after you step off the scale before it automatically turns off.

Error Indicators:

If "E" is displayed, the scale has exceeded its 350 LB maximum weight capacity or requires recalibration. To recalibrate, repeat Step 2 in Scale Use.

Care Instructions:

Periodically wipe the scale surface with a DRY cloth to remove dust.

Caution: Weight exceeding the 350 LB capacity may damage the scale. This scale is designed for personal use only, not commercial or industrial use. The scale is not waterproof; avoid contact with excessive moisture.

Battery Replacement

This scale includes one 9V battery. When "LO" appears on the display, replace the battery.

Steps:

1. Locate the battery cover on the back of the scale.
2. Push the locking tab and pull the battery cover upwards.
3. Remove the battery from its two connectors.
4. Insert a new 9V battery, ensuring each terminal snaps securely to its corresponding connector.
5. Replace the battery cover.

FCC Compliance

Potential for Radio/Television Interference: This product has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. The product generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If the product does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the product on or off, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: a) Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna; b) Increase the separation between the product and the receiver; c) Connect the product into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected; d) Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

5 Year Limited Warranty

Sunbeam Products, Inc. (doing business as Jarden Consumer Solutions) warrants this product for five years from the date of purchase against defects in material and workmanship. JCS will repair or replace the product or its components found to be defective during the warranty period with new or remanufactured parts. If the product is unavailable, a similar product of equal or greater value may be provided. This warranty is exclusive and does not cover normal wear, damage from misuse, improper voltage, or unauthorized repairs. It also does not cover Acts of God.

Limits on Liability: JCS is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Implied warranties are limited to the duration of this express warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, which may vary by jurisdiction.
