Warnings

Read all instructions. Failure to follow these warnings and instructions may result in serious bodily injury. Keep these instructions for future reference.

General Warnings (Models 03010/03011)

• These products are NOT flameproof or fire retardant. DO NOT expose to open flame or sparks.
• The brim is intended to provide supplemental visibility enhancement.
• Always wear ANSI/ISEA 107 rated apparel suitable for the jobsite.

Flame-Resistant (FR) Specific Warnings (Models FR03010/FR03011)

• Flame Resistant (FR) Accessories reduce potential harm from heat, flame, and arc flash exposure. ALWAYS wear appropriate protective equipment suitable for the exposure hazard as required by site safety guidelines.
• Inspect all FR accessories daily. If ANY fraying, discoloration, tears/holes, stretching, breaks, or cracks are found, remove from service and discard immediately.
• DO NOT try to alter any of the accessories in any way. DO NOT remove tags on products.
• DO NOT apply any chemicals (insect repellent, cleaners, deodorizers, sanitizers, etc.) on any of the accessories. This could alter the properties or deteriorate the material, resulting in subpar performance.
• After any exposure to flame or arc, immediately remove from service and discard.

Feature Details (See Figure A)

Figure A illustrates the components:

• 1. Sombrero (x1)
• 2. Connectors (x2)
• 3. Sombrero Arms (x2)
• 4. Elastic Cords (x2)

Installation

Note: Hard hat not included.

1. Snap one Connector (2) into the universal slot on both sides of the hard hat (See Figure B).
2. Lay the Sombrero (1) flat, then fold it in half (See Figure C).
3. Align the Sombrero Arms (3) with the connector slots and slide the arms through the slots (See Figure D).
4. Unfold the Sombrero (See Figure E).
5. Flip the entire assembly over and hook the Elastic Cords (4) below the brim (See Figure F).
6. For Cat. Nos. 03011 and FR03011, peel off the protective liner from the lens.

Cleaning

Clean the product with mild soap and water only. Rinse and wipe dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
