Introduction

Congratulations on purchasing your new digital photo frame. With this Digital Photo Frame, you can easily and quickly view photos directly from your digital camera's memory card. You can even create a slideshow with multiple transition effects. The Digital Photo Frame is compatible with the following memory cards and devices: Secure Digital (SD) card, Multi Media Card (MMC), and USB flash drives.

Rear Panel View

The rear panel features several buttons and ports for operating the device.

Label Description
1 (◀️) Left Arrow Button: Press to navigate up through on-screen menu options.
2 (▶️) Right Arrow Button: Press to navigate down through on-screen menu options.
3 (▶️/⏸️) Play/Pause Button: Press to confirm options in menus; in slideshow mode, press to pause or resume slideshow.
4 (EXIT) Exit Button: Press to exit the current menu and display the previous menu.
5 (MENU/▶️) Power/Menu Button: From main menu or slideshow, accesses setup menu; if slideshow is paused, it accesses the image editing menu (see the "Working with Photos" section for details). Press and hold to shut the photo frame off or to turn photo frame back on.
6 (USB) USB port for inserting most USB devices.
7 (SD/MMC) Card reader slot for inserting SD/MMC cards.
8 (DC IN) DC Jack for connecting the included AC Adapter.

Getting Started

  1. Attach the included stand to the rear of the Digital Photo Frame in either horizontal or vertical position. For wall mounting, refer to the "Wall Mounting" section.
  2. Insert your memory card or your USB flash drive.
  3. Connect the power adapter to the photo frame and plug it into an electrical outlet.

Wall Mounting

  1. Insert a nail, screw, or hook into the wall in a location that will support the frame's weight.
  2. Leave at least ½" (about 12mm) of the nail or screw exposed.
  3. Hang the Digital Photo Frame onto the nail or screw.

Connecting the Power Supply

  1. Place the frame on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Plug the DC plug of the adapter into the jack marked "DC IN 5V" on the side of the digital photo frame, and then connect the power adapter to a standard 110-Volt AC electrical outlet. The player will power on.
  3. Press and hold the Menu Button to power the frame on or off.
  4. When the unit is not being used for a long time, press the Menu Button on the unit to power it off and unplug the AC adapter from the electrical outlet.

Connecting a USB Drive

To view photos from a USB flash drive, insert it into the USB port on the side of the frame.

NOTE:

Inserting a Memory Card

To view pictures from a Secure Digital (SD) or Multimedia Card (MMC) memory card, insert it into the memory card slot on the side of the Digital Photo Frame with the metal contacts of the card facing away from the LCD Display.

Display Source and Main Menu

Insert a memory card or USB flash drive; after the card/drive is read, a slideshow will start. Press the EXIT Button to stop the slideshow and enter thumbnail mode. Press the EXIT Button again to access the main menu. Press the EXIT Button a third time to enter Source Mode, in which you can select a photo source from the memory devices inserted into the frame—memory card, USB flash drive, or the frame's built-in memory. Press the Play/Pause button to return to the main menu.

NOTE: The Digital Photo Frame may be slow to read some large capacity memory cards and USB drives.

Main Menu Navigation:

  1. Press the Left and Right Arrow Buttons to choose an input source: Memory Card, USB device, or built-in memory. Press the Play/Pause Button to confirm and return to the Main Menu screen.
  2. Press the Left and Right Arrow Buttons to select Photo, Calendar, File, or Setup. Press the Play/Pause button to confirm. See below for descriptions of each of the three display modes.

Photo Mode

From the Main Menu select Photo to start a slideshow. Press Exit to display a photo thumbnail gallery. Press the Left and Right Arrow Buttons to select a photo. Press the Play/Pause Button to confirm and begin a slideshow starting with the selected picture. Press the Play/Pause Button again to pause the slideshow. Press the EXIT Button to return to the thumbnail gallery view.

Working with Photos

Options available for manipulating the selected photo are Rotate and Zoom.

Calendar Mode

From the main menu, press the Left and Right Arrow Buttons to select "Calendar" and then press the Play/Pause Button to enter Calendar mode. In this mode, your photos will display as a small slideshow on the right while a monthly calendar displays on the left. Press the Left and Right Arrow Buttons to view a different calendar month (Note: Time and Date can be updated in the settings menu). Press the EXIT Button to exit Calendar mode and return to the main menu.

File Mode

From the main menu, press the ◀️ and ▶️ Buttons to select "File" and then press the ▶️ button to confirm. Long press ▶️ Buttons to copy and delete a file from the selected source, then press ▶️ Button to confirm yes and no. Select "EXIT" to cancel. This photo frame has 8MB of built-in memory, which can hold about two images of a 1024x600 resolution.

Settings

From the main menu, press the ◀️ and ▶️ Buttons to select "Setting" and press the ▶️ Button to confirm. This includes Photo Setup, Calendar Setup, and System Setup. To exit any of the submenus, press the EXIT Button.

Note: After you change a setting and enter into the next item, the set mode/data will auto-save.

Troubleshooting

Problem Cause/Solution
No power The power connector is not completely inserted into the DC IN Jack.
Screen freezes The unit may have malfunctioned. Switch it off and wait a few minutes before turning it on again.
Characters in display are incorrect Make sure that you have selected the correct language.
Unable to insert memory card or USB device. Memory card or USB device is not inserted correctly; insert the card in the opposite side.
The unit cannot recognize the memory device inserted. 1. Memory card or USB device is not inserted correctly.
2. The memory device may be damaged. Try a different card/device.
3. Make sure that you are using a memory card type that is compatible (SD/MMC).
4. It is slow to read the large capacity memory device; wait for a moment.
5. USB drive is formatted with an incompatible file system. Make sure drive is formatted as FAT32.
NOTE: Not all USB devices or memory cards are recognized by this digital photo frame.
A memory card or USB device is inserted in the frame, but it is not able to read the card or USB device. 1. Make sure you are using a memory card or USB device that is compatible. 2. Make sure that the memory card or USB device is inserted completely. 3. The memory card or USB device is damaged.

To receive Warranty service, the original consumer purchaser must contact PA Brands for problem determination and service procedures. Proof of purchase in the form of a bill of sale or receipted invoice from PA Brands or its authorized resellers, evidencing that the Product is within the applicable Warranty period(s), MUST be presented to PA Brands, in order to obtain the requested service.

Exclusions and Limitations

Shipping expenses to the PA Brands service center are not covered by this warranty. This Warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship encountered in the normal, noncommercial use of the Product, and does not cover consumer instruction, delivery, installation, set-up, adjustments, cosmetic damage or damage due to acts of nature, accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, commercial use or modification of, or to any part of the Product. In addition, this Warranty does not cover images "burnt" into the screen. This Warranty applies to the original consumer only and does not cover products sold AS IS or WITH ALL FAULTS, or consumables (e.g., fuses, batteries, bulbs etc.), and the Warranty is invalid if the factory-applied serial number has been altered or removed from the Product. This Warranty is valid only in the United States, and only applies to products purchased and serviced in the United States.

NO WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OTHER THAN THOSE EXPRESSLY DESCRIBED ABOVE SHALL APPLY.
