System Overview and Components
The GlideLoc Vertical Height Access Ladder System consists of a vertical rail that attaches to a ladder. The system includes an end-stop at the top and bottom of the rail, and rung clamps to secure the rail to the ladder rungs. A fall arrester is used by the worker to connect to the system, allowing for safe vertical ascent and descent.

Note: A minimum of four (4) rung clamps are required for each system.
GlideLoc® Fall Arresters
All GlideLoc Fall Arresters lock immediately into the rail in the event of a fall. All models offer:
- Smooth, quiet trailing action along the rail, providing an easier, more comfortable climb.
- Automatic design, keeping both hands free for climbing.
- Stainless steel catch clamp that locks into the rail during a fall.
- Integrated shock-absorbing mechanism that reduces force on the worker and system during a fall.
- Fall indicator that alerts the user when to remove the product from service.
- Integrated swivel, auto-locking carabiner connection that aids in trailing alignment and meets allowable attachment length.
- Design prevents upside-down installation, increasing worker safety by ensuring proper attachment.
- No requirement to lean back while climbing, reducing fatigue; ideal for ladder cages and confined spaces.
- Ergonomically designed for easy one-hand installation, increasing productivity.
Body Control I Fall Arrester
This arrester attaches at the top or bottom of the rail. It offers all the general features listed above. Its smooth, quiet trailing action is delivered by 10 glide rollers, providing an easier, more comfortable climb. Outside roller guides are protected by a flexible rubber ring for a longer service life. It is constructed of stainless steel and aluminum, holding up well in corrosive environments.
Universal II GlideLoc Fall Arrester
This arrester attaches anywhere on the rail. It is designed to be installed and removed from the rail anywhere along the system, enabling transfer onto platforms and entry onto systems where the ladder is submerged in snow. It features a click-lock function to ensure proper installation and does not require intermediate entry/exit gates. The body is constructed of stainless steel, holding up well in corrosive environments.

Kits come complete with GlideLoc rail, end-stop, ladder attachment brackets, and hardware. Systems accommodate one worker per section of rail. Kits are available in galvanized steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. GlideLoc fall arresters are sold separately.
