Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible Cause | Possible Solution |
---|---|---|
Water inlet leakage | No filter or filter not placed horizontally. Faucet is not standard 3/4". | Add a filter and ensure it's placed horizontally. Ensure faucet is standard 3/4". Wrap Teflon tape tightly on the faucet. |
Water does not stop/flow out | Long storage/transport made the valve inactive. Valve blockage. | Keep faucet off, turn timer to ON. Run manual watering for 5-7 seconds and stop. Repeat 3-5 times. Try normal use. |
No response for manual/rain delay function | Did not press OK after setting time to save and run. | Press OK again after setting time to confirm. |
Short battery life | Mixed use of old and new batteries. Using carbon or rechargeable batteries. | Use new alkaline batteries. Alkaline batteries have a longer lifespan. |
Low water pressure | Inlet pressure insufficient for watering needs. | Check filter for blockage. Ensure correct timer installation. Consider a pressure booster pump. |
LCD screen does not display | Battery is exhausted. Display exposed to direct sunlight. | Replace batteries. Avoid direct sunlight. |
Cleaning Your Timer
Regular cleaning ensures proper operation. Follow these steps:
