Enjoying Your Speakers
Pairing the AirBase
The speakers work best if they're within 20' of your smart device. If you're out of range or your wireless connection is weak, your music may cut out briefly. Don't worry: Please make sure Bluetooth is enabled before you start the pairing process.
Steps to Pair AirBase
- Turn on all 5 speakers. A small green light on the back of each one indicates they are connected.
- Connect your AirBase to your device for Bluetooth. You'll hear a voice indicating "pairing mode."
- On your smart phone or tablet, select "Air" from the list of nearby devices. You'll hear a voice confirming you're paired.
- You're all set. Separate the speakers and place them within 100' of the AirBase.
Disclaimer: Wireless connection range may be affected by interference or thick walls.
Pairing AirConnect Speakers Separately
You can also pair each AirConnect speaker to its own Bluetooth Source to use as a separate Bluetooth speaker. Follow these steps:
Steps to Pair AirConnect
- Press and hold the power button until you hear a chime and then a beep.
- Press the power button again to switch to Bluetooth mode. The indicator light will turn blue.
- On your smart phone or tablet, select "Air Left" or "Air Right" from the list of nearby devices. You'll hear another beep to confirm pairing.
Disclaimer: Both right and left speakers share the same pairing names. Some devices may prevent pairing to one speaker if already paired to another with the same name. You may need to delete the pairing name and try again.
Alternate Audio Output
The Air's "OUT" jack can connect to an alternate audio system, such as a home theater system or TV. Plug the audio cable into the "OUT" jack on the Air and the "line in" of your chosen playback device.
Connection Troubleshooting
If pairing fails, turn off the speakers and repeat the "Using Speakers" steps. Ensure your speakers are within range of your smart device. If you hear a long beep or a voice indicating low battery, recharge the speakers, as connection may be lost due to low battery. Always use the enclosed USB cable for charging.
