Getting to Know Your Ninja Crispi

Functions

• KEEP WARM: Keeps food warm until serving.
• AIR FRY: Cooks food with little to no oil for a perfect crispy finish.
• RECRISP: Reheats leftovers to restore crispiness and flavor.
• ROAST: Best for cooking larger cuts of meat or vegetables.

Control Buttons

• START/POWER: Turns the unit on/off and starts/stops cooking. Press and hold for 2 seconds to turn off.
• MODE: Cycles through the available cooking functions.
• TIME (-/+): Adjusts the cooking time.

Usage and Care

Before First Use

1. Remove and discard all packaging materials, stickers, and tape from the appliance.
2. Wash all accessories (containers, adapter, plates, lids) in hot, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Never wash the Crispi PowerPod in a dishwasher.
3. Ensure at least 15 cm (6 inches) of space around the appliance for proper air circulation.

Using the Crispi PowerPod

• Always use the Crispi PowerPod with a Ninja glass container.
• Ensure the PowerPod is correctly aligned with the container's Safe-to-Touch handles. The "LID" indicator will appear if misaligned.
• The PowerPod automatically stops cooking when removed. Reinstall and press START/POWER to resume.
• Keep all items at least 15 cm (6 inches) away from the PowerPod's ventilation opening.
• The PowerPod's feet allow it to be placed directly on any countertop after use.

Using Ninja Glass Containers

• Safe-to-Touch handles and heat-resistant bases are permanently attached. Do not remove.
• Do not use if handles or base are damaged.
• Containers are freezer, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
• Not for use in ovens, stovetops, or grills.
• Handle with care to avoid breakage from drops, impacts, or hard utensils. Dispose of if damaged.

Using Container Lids

• Lids are freezer and microwave safe (when placed loosely on top). Dishwasher safe (top rack).
• Do not seal containers immediately after cooking.
• Never place the PowerPod, container, or plate directly on a lid after cooking.

Using Crispy Plates

• Dishwasher safe. Not for microwave or oven use.

Using the Crispi Adapter

• Use with the Crispi PowerPod only in the 3.8L Ninja glass containers.
• Dishwasher safe. Not for microwave or oven use.
• Note: Do not use with the 1.4L Ninja container.
• Allow to cool for 10 minutes before handling.

Cooking Functions Explained

Air Fry

1. Place a Crispy Plate in the Ninja glass container.
2. Add ingredients.
3. Attach the Crispi PowerPod. Ensure correct alignment. Use the Crispi Adapter if using a large container.
4. Select AIR FRY mode using the MODE button.
5. Adjust time using TIME (-/+).
6. Press START/POWER to begin cooking.
7. To stir ingredients: Remove PowerPod (pauses cooking) or press START/POWER to pause. Stir ingredients using Safe-to-Touch handles or a silicone spatula. Reattach PowerPod and press START/POWER to resume.
8. The unit signals "END" when cooking is complete.
9. Serve food directly from the container or remove with tongs/silicone-tipped accessories.

ReCrisp

1. Follow similar steps as Air Fry, selecting RECRISP mode.

Keep Warm

1. Follow similar steps, selecting KEEP WARM mode.

Roast

1. Follow similar steps, selecting ROAST mode.

Helpful Tips

• The heat-resistant base allows safe placement on any countertop.
• Safe-to-Touch handles allow safe handling after cooking.
• For even browning, arrange ingredients in a single layer without overcrowding. Shake or stir halfway through cooking.
• Time and mode can be adjusted anytime during cooking.
• Remove food promptly after cooking to avoid overcooking.
• Light ingredients may be lifted by the fan; secure with toothpicks if necessary (e.g., top slice of bread on a sandwich).
• For best results with vegetables and potatoes, use at least 1 tbsp of oil. You can add more for desired crispiness.
• The Crispi PowerPod automatically pauses cooking when removed and resumes when reattached.

Cleaning and Care

Always unplug and allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning.

Troubleshooting

• Preheating: No, the appliance does not require preheating.
• Max Crisp vs. Air Fry: Use Max Crisp for best results with frozen pre-cooked items like french fries or chicken nuggets.
• "LID" Error: The Crispi PowerPod is not properly attached or aligned on the Ninja glass container. Ensure it is aligned and seated evenly. If using the adapter, ensure the PowerPod is fully inserted into the adapter.
• Pausing Cooking: Press the START/POWER button or remove the Crispi PowerPod from the container; cooking will pause automatically.
• Placing Crispi PowerPod on Countertop: Yes, the appliance can be safely placed on any countertop with or without the adapter.
• Placing Ninja Glass Containers on Countertop: Yes, the heat-resistant base allows safe placement on any countertop.
• Using the Crispy Plate: Use the plate whenever you want crispy food. It lifts food in the container, allowing air to circulate underneath for even cooking and crisping.
• Uneven Cooking: Ensure the Crispi PowerPod is properly attached. Arrange ingredients in a single layer without overcrowding. Use Safe-to-Touch handles to shake ingredients for even cooking. Time and mode can be adjusted anytime.
• Food Burnt: It is recommended to monitor the cooking process and remove food promptly once desired browning is achieved. Remove food immediately after the cooking time ends to prevent overcooking.
• Light Ingredients Lifting: The fan may lift light ingredients. Use wooden skewers to secure light items like the top slice of bread on a sandwich.
• Battered Foods: Yes, but use the correct breading technique: first flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs. Press the coating firmly onto the ingredients so crumbs do not detach from the fan.
• Beeping Sound: The appliance beeps at the start and end of cooking.
• Screen Black: The unit is in standby mode. Press START/POWER to turn it back on.
