The EcoFlow PowerGlow efficiently utilizes excess solar energy for warm water preparation, offering a clean, sustainable, and cost-saving solution. Whether integrated into the PowerOcean system or connected to an existing PV system via a Smart Meter, the PowerGlow Smart Heating Element specifically targets unused solar energy for your household's warm water needs.
Less Energy Waste, Higher Savings
The EcoFlow PowerGlow dynamically adjusts its heating power at the Watt level, optimally utilizing any available excess solar energy for warm water preparation. With a starting power of just 5 W, even the smallest amount of solar energy is not wasted but directly converted into heat. This increases your self-consumption and sustainably lowers your energy costs.
Example Usage:
The EcoFlow app provides a clear overview of your energy consumption and savings. You can monitor solar power generation, household consumption, and savings. For instance, the app can display daily solar generation of 20.79 kWh and household consumption of 31.25 kWh, with potential savings indicated.
Note: The 5 W starting power is based on PowerGlow hardware. For optimal energy utilization, a starting power of 50 W is recommended when used with PowerOcean in solar mode, and 30 W when using the Smart Heating Element with a Smart Meter, as the accuracy of the meter and home storage system varies.

Operating Modes:
- Manual Mode: You manually set your target temperature and heating power.
- Solar Mode (with PowerOcean): PowerGlow automatically uses excess solar energy for water heating.
- Smart Mode (Autonomous Operation): You set the target temperature and time, and PowerGlow automatically adjusts the energy to reach the set temperature within the specified time.
Developed for Highest Safety and Reliable Performance
The EcoFlow PowerGlow utilizes special "Black Gold" materials that reduce the heating element's magnetism and prevent limescale buildup. This extends the device's lifespan and maintains its efficiency. Integrated thermal protection prevents dry running and ensures long-term safety and reliability.
Available Heating Powers:
Choose the appropriate heating power for your needs. The PowerGlow is available in three power levels for different energy requirements: 3.5 kW, 6 kW, and 9 kW.
Important Notes:
- To prevent the risk of dry burning, EcoFlow PowerGlow should always be used with sufficient water in the tank.
- When PowerGlow is integrated with PowerOcean, DC Fit is not supported.
- For standalone installations of PowerGlow 6kW/9kW, an additional relay is required to connect to the grid operator's switchgear to comply with EnWG § 14a.
