Power Cord:
- The supplied AC power cord (mains lead) is designed exclusively for this unit. Do not use it with other equipment.
- Disconnect the AC power cord (mains lead) from the AC outlet (mains) if the unit will not be used for an extended period. When disconnecting the AC power cord (mains lead), grip the plug firmly and pull it out. Do not pull the cord itself.
Unit Placement:
- To prevent damage, avoid placing the unit in locations with:
- High temperatures (direct sunlight, near heat sources, saunas).
- Enclosed vehicles (especially in summer).
- Sources of hot air (e.g., hair dryers).
- Place the unit on a flat surface. Inclined surfaces may cause the unit to fall due to vibration, leading to injury, damage, or performance degradation.
- The unit is not magnetically shielded. Keep magnetic-sensitive items (video tapes, watches, credit cards with magnetic stripes, etc.) away from the unit. Exercise caution when moving the unit.
Unit Maintenance:
- To maintain the unit's condition and longevity, follow these maintenance procedures:
- For dust on the unit's surface, use a soft, dry cloth or a slightly damp cloth wrung out thoroughly. Some stains may not be removable.
- Note: Do not use detergents, thinners, benzine, alcohol, or similar cleaning agents on the unit's surface.
BLUETOOTH® Signal Transmission:
- Microwaves emitted from Bluetooth devices can affect the operation of electronic medical devices. To prevent accidents, turn off this unit and other Bluetooth devices in the following locations:
- Hospitals, near priority seating on trains, areas with flammable gas, near automatic doors, or near fire alarms.
Other Notes:
- The unit may automatically stop charging the battery for safety if operated in extremely hot or cold environments. If the battery continues to charge for a long time, it may also stop charging. In such cases, ensure the ambient temperature is within the permissible charging range (5°C - 35°C), unplug and replug the AC power cord (mains lead), and then restart charging.
- Charge the battery fully once every 6 months to maintain its performance, even if the unit is not used for a long time.
- There is a risk of low-temperature burns if skin comes into prolonged contact with the handle while the light is on. When moving the speaker with the unit powered on, turn off the light (illumination function).
- Ensure adequate ventilation to prevent heat buildup and extend the unit's lifespan.
- Do not insert foreign objects into the speaker's ventilation openings.
- Avoid splashing water onto the unit and its accessories. The unit and accessories are not waterproof.
- If solid objects or liquids accidentally fall into the unit, unplug it and have it inspected by a qualified technician before further use.
- The flat, smooth top surface of the unit improves water resistance, but it is not guaranteed in all situations.
- If liquid is accidentally spilled on the unit, wipe it clean immediately with a dry cloth.
- The cover (A-1) is crucial for maintaining the unit's water resistance. Ensure the cover is fully closed when using the unit.
- Operate by placing your fingertip directly on the touch sensor.
- Do not operate the touch sensor with wet hands to avoid damage.
- If the unit's light appears too bright or causes glare, increase room lighting or turn off the illumination function.
- Do not look directly at the light-emitting part of the unit.
- If sand or dust adheres to the caster shaft, or if grass or lint wraps around it, the caster may not operate correctly.
- If you have questions or issues regarding the unit not covered in this guide, consult your nearest Sony dealer.
