Get Started

For the best experience, Arlo recommends fully charging the battery before setup. The LED on the front of the camera will turn solid blue when 100% charged.

1. Download the Arlo Secure App:

2. Start Setup:

Tap Devices, then the [Plus icon] (+), and select Cameras > Essential Series > Essential Cameras 2nd Generation. Follow the on-screen prompts.

What's in the box

• Arlo Essential Outdoor Camera: A sleek, white, cylindrical security camera designed for outdoor use. It features a prominent lens on the front, surrounded by a dark bezel, and a small LED indicator light above the lens.
• Wall Mount: A circular, white mounting base with multiple screw holes for secure attachment to a wall or ceiling. It includes a central pivot point for adjusting the camera's angle.
• Screw Kit: A small, clear plastic bag containing various screws, wall anchors, and possibly a mounting template, for securely installing the camera and mount.
• Indoor USB Charging Cable: A white cable with a proprietary connector on one end (for the camera) and a standard USB Type-A connector on the other end, used for charging the camera's battery indoors.
• Wall Plate: A flat, white mounting plate with pre-drilled holes, likely an alternative or supplementary mounting accessory.
