Safety Instructions

For safety reasons, always turn off the main electric supply before wiring the transformer to a junction box!

Make sure that all connections are correct and terminals are fully tightened. Do not stress the cables.

The main supply to the transformer should be installed in accordance with these instructions and in compliance with local wiring codes.

Wiring to Line Volt Supply

Mount the transformer to an appropriate junction box or circuit breaker box. Connect line volt white and black wires to the black and white transformer wires, connect the green wire to ground. See Figure 1.

This transformer can be used to replace any 16V 10VA transformer from any manufacturer, which is mounted within electrical cable management housing.

The diagram illustrates the connection of the transformer to the main power supply.

On the left side, labeled "120 VAC" (or "120 V C.A."), are the incoming power lines. These connect to the transformer's primary side.

A "GROUND / MISE À LA TERRE / TIERRA" connection is shown, typically connected to the green wire of the transformer.

The primary voltage input is indicated as "110/130 V" or "110-130V".

On the right side, labeled "16V, 10VA OUTPUT / SORTIE / SALIDA", are the secondary terminals of the transformer, providing the low voltage output for the chime system.

The diagram shows the transformer with its primary winding connected to the 120V AC supply and ground, and its secondary winding providing 16V AC output.
