Welcome to Verisure
Congratulations on installing your Verisure Smart Alarm, an advanced security system designed for maximum protection, ease of use, and comfort. This manual serves as a guide for initial use and a reference for any questions you may have. We encourage you to install the My Verisure app on your mobile or tablet to monitor your home or business, control the alarm remotely, and access settings from anywhere.
Description of the Alarm System
Shock Sensor Opening Detector (GWL-MC2-SHOCK)
Protects doors and windows with a triple detection system sensitive to openings, shocks, and vibrations, detecting intruders even before they enter.
Motion Photo/Video Detectors with Colour Camera and Night Vision (GWL-MD-C1)
Protects the interior of your home or business. When unauthorized movement is detected, these devices capture images sent to the Alarm Receiving Centre for immediate verification.
Voicepad (GWL-SVK) and Smart Keys
Allows easy connection and disconnection of the alarm via smart key, numeric code, or remote control. The input reader features a speech/listening system, siren, and an SOS button for emergencies.
My Verisure App
Control your alarm system, monitor your home or business, and communicate with Verisure via chat. Accessible from your mobile or tablet.
App Interface Description
The app displays alarm status (e.g., 'Disarmed'), shows the latest images from photo detectors, lists recent events from keys and controls, provides access to help and customer service, shows a timeline of system events, and offers more options for settings and features. It includes sections for Devices & Features, Invoices, My System, and Help.
Key System Components
Central Unit (GW-CU2L)
Manages signals from all alarm devices and transmits them to the Verisure Alarm Receiving Centre. It ensures signal transmission via Ethernet, WLAN, 4G, 3G, and GSM networks, which are immune to frequency inhibitors.
Wi-Fi Extender (GWL-WXTND)
Extends the range of the Wi-Fi network and can be controlled and monitored via Verisure's proprietary radio protocol over Sub-GHz ISM (SRD).
SOS Button (GWL-SPB)
Provides a discrete method for users to notify Verisure of an emergency, requiring immediate help. When triggered, Verisure reviews the situation and responds.
Remote Control (GWL-KF-WR)
Allows easy control of the alarm system.
ZeroVision (GWL-NOX)
Enables immediate, remote action within the protected property by generating a zero-visibility situation to deter burglars.
Outdoor Motion Photo/Video Detector (GWL-MD-PIR)
Offers perimeter protection by monitoring outdoor events and acting if a potential threat is identified, preventing intrusion before it happens.
Range Extension
The Wi-Fi Extender (GWL-WXTND) can be used to extend the Wi-Fi coverage of the Central Unit (GW-CU2L), allowing connection to other Verisure Wi-Fi enabled devices. The diagram illustrates the Wi-Fi coverage areas provided by both the Central Unit and the Wi-Fi Extender.
Arming Modes
When You Leave Your Home or Business (Away Mode)
Set the alarm to 'Away Mode' when no one is left inside. All detectors are active, ensuring full protection.
When You Enter Your Home or Business (Disarming)
Disarm the alarm upon entry. This allows free movement throughout the installation as detectors will be inactive.
When You're at Home or Business (Home Mode)
Recommended for use when people are present. 'Home Mode' activates only specific detectors in configured areas, allowing free movement in other parts of the installation. This is also referred to as 'Partial Mode'.
When You're at Home or Business (Perimeter Mode)
Activates only perimeter detectors, protecting the outer area. This feature may be available on future upgraded perimeter detectors.
Control Methods: Arming and disarming can be performed using the Keyreader, the My Verisure App, or the Remote Control.
