- Route the power cord safely to prevent tripping or pulling. Keep cord away from sharp edges and hot objects.
- Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, unless supervised or instructed by a responsible person.
- Supervise children to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
- Explain risks of electric current to children: heat/hot steam, sharp edges, electric shock.
- Keep appliance out of reach of children and persons unable to handle electric appliances properly. Ensure cord is out of reach when plugged in.
- Do not leave packaging components (plastic bags, cardboard, polystyrene) within reach of children due to suffocation risk.
- DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Do not immerse cord, plug, or appliance in water or other liquid.
- Never place the appliance on wet ground.
- Prevent the cord from hanging into water or over a washing basin.
- Do not use while standing on wet ground or if hands or appliance are wet.
- Do not pour or drip liquids onto the motor base or cord. If liquids spill, switch OFF, unplug, and let dry thoroughly.
- Never wash the appliance or power cord in a dishwasher.
- DANGER OF BURNING AND FIRE! Never touch heated surfaces with bare hands. Do not place empty pots or cookware on the appliance when it is operating.
- Be aware that high temperatures are achieved which may cause serious injuries. Use handles or pot cloths. Inform other users.
- Use only on heat-resistant surfaces (stone, ceramics). Do not place near or on hot surfaces or strong heating devices.
- To avoid heat congestion, do not place appliance next to a wall or under a wall cupboard. Keep a safe distance from items that may easily melt or flame. Do not store flammable items nearby.

Functions & Advantages of Induction Cooking
Induction cooking utilizes eddy currents to heat the bottom of the cooking pot directly. An alternating electromagnetic field is generated, which interacts with the magnetic material of the cookware's bottom to create heat.
System of Induction Cooking
The induction cooking plate and the cookware placed on it form a single unit through electromagnetism. The generated energy converts directly into heat within the bottom of the cookware. This process avoids heat loss common in standard cooking plates, leading to faster heating and reduced energy consumption. The induction plate does not require preheating and consumes no power when in standby mode.
Special Notes for Your Safety
- Persons with pacemakers are generally not at risk according to current standards. However, for peace of mind or in case of unfavorable situations, it is recommended to consult a doctor before using induction plates. Persons with pacemakers should maintain a minimum distance of 60 cm (approx. 2 feet) from the device while it is in operation.
- Do not place very large magnetic objects (e.g., griddles) or other magnetic items (e.g., credit cards, TVs, radios, cassettes) onto the cooking zone or near the glass surface when the unit is operating.
- Place the appliance on a stable, flat, and dry surface. Do not place on flammable surfaces like tablecloths. Keep away from hot surfaces or strong heating devices (cookers, open fire, heaters).
- It is recommended not to place metallic utensils (knives, pot or pan covers) on the cooking plate when switching on, as they might get hot.
- Do not insert any objects (e.g., wires, tools) into the ventilation slots, as this may cause electric shock.
- Do not touch the hot surface of the glass field. Note that the glass field heats up from the hot cookware, even though the induction plate itself does not heat directly.
Suitable Cookware
Cookware must have a magnetic (ferromagnetic) bottom for induction compatibility. Recommended materials include enamelled pots made of magnetic steel, cast iron roasting tins, and stainless steel cookware with a special steel "sandwich" bottom. Look for a spiral symbol engraved on the bottom, or test with a magnet. Cookware made of glass, ceramic, or aluminum is not suitable.
Advantages of an Induction Cooking Plate
- Maximum energy saving (up to approx. 50%) as energy is transferred only when cookware is present.
- Extremely high cooking speed as heat is generated directly in the cookware bottom.
- High effectiveness and reduced total energy consumption (up to 30%) due to efficient heat transfer.
- Precise control (via 2 adjustable functions) for fast and tightly focused heat input.
- Reduced risk of scorching food residues and easier cleaning, as the induction plate is only heated by the cookware and cools down quickly.
- Automatic switch to Standby Mode when cookware is removed.
- Detects suitable cookware; no energy is transmitted if unsuitable cookware is used.
- Overheating protection (boil dry protection) turns off the heating function if empty cookware is detected.
Operation
CAUTION! NEVER LEAVE THE APPLIANCE UNATTENDED WHEN IT IS IN OPERATION!
Follow this sequence for operation:
- Before plugging in, always place suitable cookware filled with food centered onto the induction cooking plate. Failure to do so may result in an error.
- Insert the plug into a suitable socket. A long acoustic signal will sound, and the display will show `----`.
- Press the ON/OFF button to switch the device into Standby Mode. The display will show `0000`, accompanied by a short acoustic signal.
- Press the Power button: The internal fan will switch on automatically. The display will default to level 5. The appliance is now in power mode.
- To select a desired power level, use the `+` button to increase or the `-` button to decrease (adjustable from 1 to 10).
- Touch the Temperature button to program the temperature mode. The display will default to 200°F.
- To select a desired temperature, use the `+` button to increase or the `-` button to decrease (adjustable from 140°F to 460°F).
- Touch the Timer button to program the cooking time. The display will default to 180 minutes.
- To select a desired time, use the `+` button to increase or the `-` button to decrease time (adjustable from 0 to 180 minutes in 5-minute steps). If the timer is not set, it defaults to 180 minutes and will shut off for safety.
The cooking time will be indicated on the display by counting down the minutes. When the cooking time is finished, several acoustic signals will sound, and the unit will switch off automatically.
After cooking or warming, always switch the device off and unplug it.
All functions can be adjusted manually by pressing the corresponding buttons.
Do not use the appliance if it shows any sign of damage or malfunction; please contact customer service.
Do not place empty cookware on the appliance or leave cookware on it for too long to prevent liquid from cooking off completely. Overheating the cookware will activate the boil dry protection.
Technical Drawing
A technical drawing is provided, illustrating the physical layout and dimensions of the 177IWC35 model. It depicts the overall unit, the cooking surface, the control panel area, and ventilation openings, with specific measurements indicated.
Control Panel
The control panel features an LED Display for showing settings and error codes. It includes dedicated buttons for ON/OFF, Power, Temperature, and Timer functions. Additionally, Increase (+) and Decrease (-) keys are provided for adjusting power, temperature, and time settings.
Safety Functions
The appliance is equipped with safety functions that display error codes on the LED display:
Safety Code | Indicates | Procedure |
---|---|---|
E0 | No cookware on cooker | Unit will not switch on to heat. Unit will switch to standby mode after 1 minute. Place cookware on plate and turn on. |
E1 | Temperature sensor overheated / sensor out of order | E1 will disappear and plate will function when cooled. When sensor is out of order, E1 will appear and machine will shut down. |
E2 | Cookware too hot (Boil dry protection) | Unit will stop heating. Unplug and let cool down completely. Unit will completely lock up. After 20 minutes, E2 switches off and unit goes back to standby mode. |
E3 | Power surge protection | As soon as current is returned to normal, unit will return to normal function. |
E1-3 | Safety reasons | In all cases, unplug and let cool down. |
