SEVERIN KA 4813 Warranty Information
Your Statutory Rights
If your SEVERIN KA 4813 appliance is defective, you are entitled to exercise your statutory buyer's rights regarding defects. These rights are free of charge and must be asserted against your contract partner, i.e., the dealer from whom you purchased the appliance. Contractual agreements between you and the dealer must be observed. This warranty does not restrict your statutory rights in case of defects; it is an additional service voluntarily provided by SEVERIN as the manufacturer.
SEVERIN Manufacturer Warranty Commitment
SEVERIN commits to the following under this warranty:
If the appliance is defective at the time of risk transfer (i.e., upon receipt) according to statutory provisions, SEVERIN will, at its discretion, remedy the defect free of charge within a reasonable time or provide you with a new, defect-free appliance. This warranty is not a durability warranty.
This warranty is valid for the appliance with the article number stated on the front (KA 4813). A prerequisite for warranty service is that you purchased this appliance as new. The warranty does not apply to used appliances that have been repaired or refurbished by a third party.
To claim warranty service, you must assert your rights within two years of receiving the appliance (e.g., from the time of pickup in a retail store or from the delivery date for mail-order purchases). SEVERIN does not assume further voluntary obligations, such as reimbursement of transport, installation, or dismantling expenses. Statutory obligations remain unaffected.
Warranty Exclusions
A warranty claim is not justified for defects or faults caused by:
- Incorrect setup or installation, including non-observance of applicable safety regulations or written instructions for use, installation, and assembly.
- Improper use, including incorrect operation or misuse.
- External influences, such as transport damage, damage from shock or impact, or damage from weather conditions.
- Power and voltage fluctuations outside tolerance limits.
- Failure to observe maintenance and cleaning work as per the user manual.
- Use-conditioned or natural wear and tear, such as decreasing charging capacity of rechargeable batteries, lamps, or components that typically require regular replacement during the product's lifecycle.
How to Claim Your Warranty
To assert your rights under this warranty, please contact your contract partner (the dealer from whom you purchased the appliance) and provide the following information:
- Your full name, address, and phone number or email address.
- A description of the defect (a brief description of the symptoms is sufficient).
- Date of purchase or, if different, the date of delivery of the appliance.
Your dealer will then contact SEVERIN to arrange the necessary steps. Alternatively, you can contact SEVERIN customer service directly with the above information. Contact details for your country can be found in the appendix to this warranty statement or on the SEVERIN website: www.severin.com.
