2-1 Important Safety Information Before Installation
Handle the motherboard with care as it contains sensitive integrated circuits that can be damaged by static electricity. Follow these precautions:
- Ensure your computer case is compatible with the motherboard size.
- Do not remove the serial number or warranty stickers from the motherboard, as this may affect warranty claims.
- Always turn off the power and unplug the power cord before installing or removing the motherboard and other hardware.
- Ensure all connectors are securely seated when installing hardware.
- Avoid touching metal contacts on the motherboard to prevent short circuits.
- Wear an anti-static wrist strap when handling the motherboard, CPU, or memory modules. If an anti-static wrist strap is not available, ensure your hands are dry and touch a metal object to discharge static electricity before handling components.
- Place the motherboard on an anti-static mat or in an anti-static bag before installation.
- Ensure the power supply is turned off before connecting or disconnecting the motherboard power connector.
- Verify that the power supply voltage is set correctly for your region before powering on.
- Ensure all hardware and power cables are correctly connected before powering on.
- Do not allow screws to contact the circuitry or components on the motherboard, as this can cause damage or malfunction.
- Ensure no loose screws or metal objects are left on the motherboard or inside the computer case.
- Do not place the computer case on an unstable surface.
- Avoid placing the computer case in excessively hot or humid environments.
- Improper installation or handling can cause personal injury or damage to components. If you are unsure about the installation process or encounter technical issues, consult a professional technician.

2-3 Installing the CPU and Cooler
A. Confirm CPU Orientation: Ensure the CPU and motherboard socket alignment marks (triangles) are correctly oriented before insertion. Do not force the CPU into the socket. The protective plastic cover on the socket will automatically detach after the CPU is installed and the retention lever is closed.
B. Installing the CPU: Follow the steps to carefully place the CPU into the socket. Ensure the CPU is properly seated before closing the retention lever. If the CPU is not correctly seated, do not force the lever, as this may damage the CPU or socket.
C. Installing the Cooler: Apply thermal paste evenly on the CPU surface. Follow the cooler's specific installation instructions. Connect the cooler's fan cable to the CPU_FAN header on the motherboard.
2-4 Installing Memory Modules
Before installing memory modules, ensure they are compatible with the motherboard. Turn off the power and unplug the power cord. Install memory modules in the correct orientation, starting with DDR5_A2 slot. For dual-channel memory configuration, it is recommended to use identical memory modules.
Memory Installation Recommendation:
Number of Modules | DDR5_A1 | DDR5_A2 | DDR5_B1 | DDR5_B2 |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 Module | ✓ | |||
2 Modules* | ✓ | ✓ | ||
4 Modules* | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
*Recommended for dual-channel memory configuration.
Dual Channel Memory Technology: This motherboard supports Dual Channel Memory Technology. Installing memory modules enables the BIOS to automatically detect memory specifications and capacity. Dual channel configuration doubles the memory bus bandwidth.
Channel A: DDR5_A1, DDR5_A2
Channel B: DDR5_B1, DDR5_B2
Note: For dual-channel operation, if installing one memory module, dual-channel technology will not be enabled. If installing two or four memory modules, it is recommended to use modules of the same capacity, brand, speed, and chip type.
2-5 Installing Expansion Cards
Ensure the expansion card is compatible with the motherboard and refer to the card's manual. Turn off the power and unplug the power cord before installation. Align the expansion card with the appropriate slot and press down firmly. Secure the card's bracket to the case with screws. After installing all expansion cards, close the computer case. Power on the system and configure BIOS settings if necessary. Install the drivers provided with the expansion card.
2-6 Rear Panel Connectors

Chapter 4: Installing Operating System and Drivers
4-1 Operating System Installation
After configuring the BIOS, you can proceed with installing the operating system. Some operating systems have built-in RAID controller drivers. For optimal performance and compatibility, it is recommended to install Gigabyte Control Center (GCC) after OS installation to install all motherboard drivers.
If your operating system requires separate RAID controller drivers during installation, follow these steps:
- Download the AMD RAID Preinstall Driver from the Gigabyte website for your motherboard model.
- Extract the driver files and copy them to a USB flash drive.
- During OS installation, when prompted to load drivers, select 'Browse' and navigate to the USB flash drive to load the AMD-RAID Bottom Device, AMD-RAID Controller, and AMD-RAID Config Device drivers.
4-2 Driver Installation
After the operating system installation is complete, a prompt may appear to download and install drivers via Gigabyte Control Center (GCC). Click 'Install' to proceed. Ensure that the 'Gigabyte Utilities Downloader' setting in BIOS is enabled.
When prompted to accept the EULA, click 'Accept' to install GCC. In the GIGABYTE CONTROL CENTER dialog, select the desired drivers and utilities, then click 'Install'.
Note: Ensure your system is connected to the internet before installing drivers.
