ZSUS X99-W Motherboard Installation and BIOS Setup Guide
Motherboard Installation Instructions
Install Memory
When installing the CPU, ensure that the CPU has anti-overheating chips.
- There is only one gap in the center of the memory module, and the memory will be correctly installed into the slot.
- Insert the memory module vertically into the DIMM slot, and push it in until the gold finger of the memory module is fully inserted. When the memory module is fully in place, the plastic bayonet on both sides will automatically close. If you insert the memory correctly, the goldfinger part will not be visible.
- Manually check whether the memory module is locked by the slot clip.
Diagram Description: A memory module (RAM stick) is shown alongside a motherboard's DIMM slot. The DIMM slot features clips on its sides. The memory module has a specific notch designed to align with a corresponding key within the slot for correct insertion.
Installing CPUs and Fans
When installing a CPU, ensure that the CPU is in good condition and the mainboard pins are correct.
- Open the CPU socket lever.
- Pull the lever to the fully open position.
- Remove the plastic cover from the CPU socket. Insert the CPU into the socket, holding the bottom edge. Ensure the CPU notch aligns with the corresponding mark on the socket.
- Gently press the lever down against the bearing plate and close the lever.
- Hook the pressure rod with the hook on the side of the base.
- Before installing the fan, ensure that the four mounting nails are properly installed. Align the mounting holes on the fan with the corresponding holes on the motherboard. Press the fan down firmly until the four nail hooks are secured into the four holes on the motherboard.
- Press down the four nail hooks to secure the fan. Flip the motherboard to verify that the four nail hooks have been inserted correctly.
- Connect the power cable of the CPU fan to the CPU fan power port on the motherboard.
Diagram Description: Diagrams illustrate a CPU, a CPU socket with its lever mechanism, and a CPU cooler equipped with a mounting system. The CPU is marked with a triangular notch. The socket includes pins or a securing mechanism for the CPU. The cooler features four mounting pins.
Notice: As long as the CPU is not installed, put a plastic protective cover over the CPU slot to avoid damage to the slot.
Front Panel Connectors (F_PANEL/SKEAKER)
The motherboard provides connections for the chassis panel and indicators.
Pinout Diagram Description: The front panel header pinout is depicted. Pins are labeled for Power Switch, Power LED (+/-), HDD LED (+/-), Reset Switch (+/-), Reserved, and Speaker connections, along with VCC5 and No Pin labels.
Front Panel Header Pinout:
- 1. Power Switch (+)
- 2. Power LED (-)
- 4. Power LED (+)
- 5. HDD LED (-)
- 6. HDD LED (+)
- 7. Reset Switch (-)
- 9. Reserved
- 10. No Pin
Speaker Header Pinout:
- 1. Speaker
- 2. VCC5
- 3. Speaker
- 4. VCC5
USB Connector (F_USB1/F_USB2 Insert Pin)
This interface is compatible with the I/O front panel connection specifications. It can connect to high-speed USB peripheral interfaces such as USB HDD, digital cameras, MP3 players, printers, and debugging demodulators.
Pinout Diagram Description: The USB header pinout is shown with labels for VCC, USBD-, USBD+, Ground, and USBOC.

Fan Power Interface (CPUFAN, SYSFAN1)
The fan power ports support +12V system cooling fans. If your motherboard has an integrated system hardware monitoring chip, use a specially designed fan that supports fan speed detection for CPU fan control. Connect all system fans; some may connect directly to the power supply. System fans can be plugged into any available system fan port.
Diagram Description: Pinout diagrams for CPUFAN and SYSFAN1 connectors, both 4-pin. CPUFAN pins are labeled Ground, +12V, Sense, and Speed Control. SYSFAN1 pins are labeled Ground, Speed Control, Sense, and NC (Not Connected).
CPUFAN Pinout:
- 1. Ground
- 2. +12V
- 3. Sense (Fan speed sensor)
- 4. Speed Control (PWM)
SYSFAN1 Pinout:
- 1. Ground
- 2. Speed Control (PWM)
- 3. Sense (Fan speed sensor)
- 4. NC (Not Connected)
