Avoid touching the cameras: During the installation process, it's important to avoid touching the cameras located on the main board. Touching or damaging the cameras can disrupt their functionality, especially in devices equipped with 1 Face ID technology. Handle the device carefully and focus on the specific task at hand without interfering with any other components. Remember, if you're uncertain about any step of the installation process, it's always a good idea to seek professional help or refer to manufacturer-provided guides. Installation Steps: 1. Power off your iPhone before beginning disassembly. Remove the two 3.4 mm pentalobe screws at the bottom edge of the iPhone. 2. Apply a suction cup to the lower half of the front panel, just above the home button. Insert the flat end of the spudger between the front panel and the rear case at the lower left edge of the iPhone. Slide the spudger up the left edge of the phone starting at the lower edge and moving towards the volume control buttons and silent switch, breaking up the adhesive holding the display in place. Remove the spudger from the left side of the phone and insert the flat end into the bottom right corner. Slide the spudger up the right edge of the phone to the top corner, breaking up the adhesive holding the display in place. Pull up on the suction cup to lift up the display and open the iPhone. 2 3. Slide an opening pick underneath the display along the top edge of the phone to loosen the last of the adhesive. Pull the display assembly slightly away from the top edge of the phone to disengage the clips holding it to the rear case. Open the iPhone by swinging the display up from the left side, like the back cover of a book. 3 4. Remove the following four tri-point Y000 screws securing the lower display cable bracket to the logic board. Remove the lower display cable bracket. 5. Use the point of a spudger to lift the battery connector out of its socket on the logic board. Use the flat end of a spudger or a fingernail to disconnect the two lower display connectors by prying them straight up from their sockets on the logic board. 6. Remove the three tri-point Y000 screws securing the bracket over the front panel sensor assembly connector. Remove the three tri-point Y000 screws securing the 4 bracket over the front panel sensor assembly connector. Remove the display assembly. 7. Remove the four Y000 screws securing the bracket over the home/Touch ID sensor Remove the bracket that secures the home/Touch ID sensor. 8. Pry under the left edge of the home button cable connector to disconnect it from its socket. Carefully pry up the underlying connector and move it out of the way of the home/Touch ID cable. If the connector doesn't pry up easily, use a hair dryer to heat and soften the adhesive securing the connector, and then try again. 5 9. Use an opening pick to gently separate the adhesive holding the home/Touch ID sensor cable to the back side of the display panel. Remove the home/Touch ID sensor assembly. 10. Now simply reattach the parts to your new screen and reverse the whole procedure for reassembly. Note:Avoid applying pressure to the corners of the display panel as it may cause damage. Be gentle and cautious with the flex cable connectors during installation, as incorrect handling can result in screen or mobile phone damage, and even safety issues. 6 Trouble Shooting: Problem 1: The screen is not bright. Answer: The display cable connector may be loose. Try reseating the cable connector and double-checking the connection. Make sure to unplug the battery connector before connecting the cables. After reinstalling, perform a hard reset on the phone and power it on. Problem 2: There are lines on the screen. Answer: Do not apply pressure to the four corners of the display panel. Pressure can damage the display panel. Handle the flex cable connectors with gentle care during installation. Please check if the cable is in good condition and if there is any dust on the connection. Afterward, reconnect all cables and turn on the power. If there are still lines, the screen may be damaged. Problem 3: The touch screen does not respond. 7 Answer: It is possible that the digitizer cable has poor contact. Please turn off the phone, clean the connectors on the logic board, and reconnect all cables. Then perform a hard reset on the phone and turn it on.
