Getting Started
This guide helps you quickly set up and use your Milwaukee M18 SIM inspection camera system. Always refer to the full operator's manual for detailed information.
Important Note: Please read the operator's manual before use.
Quick Start Steps
Step 1: Check Battery Status
Ensure your M18 battery is charged. The reel unit may display battery charge levels, typically indicated by a series of lights or a percentage display. For example, a full charge might be indicated by 78-100%, with lower percentages shown for less charged states, down to <10%.

Step 2: Connect Reel to Tablet
Connect the inspection reel unit to your compatible tablet. This typically involves plugging a cable from the reel into a port on the tablet. A "click" sound may indicate a secure connection.

Step 3: Power On
Turn on the reel unit and the connected tablet. The tablet interface will display the system status, often showing "ON" and providing access to camera functions.

Step 4: Camera Operation
The tablet displays the live feed from the inspection camera. You can view the camera's status, including date and time of recording, file count, and signal strength. The camera light can be controlled.

Note: The displayed date/time may vary based on system settings.
Step 5: Reset Function
If needed, use the reset function. This is typically accessed via a button on the reel unit. The system may also display distance markers (e.g., "ca. 1 m", "2 m") to help gauge depth.

Step 6: Cleaning
After use, clean the reel and cable as necessary. The "CLEAN" indicator may be present on the unit.

Step 7: Power Off
To turn off the system, ensure the reel unit is set to "OFF". This may involve pressing and holding a power button for a specified duration (e.g., "2 sec").
