Installation Procedure
Step 1: Preparation
The initial diagram shows arrows pointing downwards onto the vehicle's rear underside, indicating preparation or removal of components. A red hand symbol [caution-symbol] is displayed, advising caution.
Step 2: Positioning the Tow Bar
Two figures are shown lifting the tow bar assembly. The assembly is then depicted being aligned with the vehicle's chassis mounting points. An upward arrow indicates the direction of movement. A red hand symbol [caution-symbol] is displayed, advising caution.
Step 3: Initial Attachment
The tow bar is shown being attached to the vehicle frame. Bolts labeled 'X' are used at specific points on the chassis. A red hand symbol [caution-symbol] is displayed, advising caution.
Step 4: Securing Mounting Points
Additional mounting points are illustrated, where bolts labeled 'X' are used to secure the tow bar to the vehicle's structure. A red hand symbol [caution-symbol] is displayed, advising caution.
Step 5: Attaching Main Support Arms
The main support arms of the tow bar are shown being attached to the vehicle chassis. Bolts labeled 'X' and 'W' are used at these connection points. A red hand symbol [caution-symbol] is displayed, advising caution.
Step 6: Completing Support Arm Attachment
The support arms are further secured to the chassis using bolts labeled 'X' and 'W'. A red hand symbol [caution-symbol] is displayed, advising caution.
Step 7: Final Assembly and Torque
The tow bar assembly is shown in a near-complete state. Torque specifications are clearly indicated: M10 bolts require 47 Nm, M12 bolts require 65 Nm, and M16 bolts require 170 Nm. A torque wrench with various socket sizes (16, 17, 18, 19, 24) is illustrated. A thumbs-up symbol [approved-symbol] indicates a successful completion of this stage.
Step 8: Ball and Hook Options
The final diagram displays the completed tow bar assembly. Two types of towing hitches are shown: a standard ball hitch (Part No. 7944 / 329097600001) and a different coupling type (Part No. 7954 / 329094600001).
Usage and Maintenance Notes
After installation, it is crucial to perform checks on the tow bar system. A diagram suggests checking at 0 km and again at 1000 km, indicated by circular arrows and a clock symbol [time-symbol].
Ensure the tow bar ball and coupling mechanism are kept clean and lubricated as per standard automotive practices.
Always refer to the vehicle's registration document and the tow bar's specifications for correct towing limits and operational guidelines.
The document also includes a "Declaration of Correct Installation" section to be completed by the authorized installer.
Declaration of Correct Installation
This section requires the installer to declare that the tow bar has been fitted correctly and in accordance with all applicable regulations and manufacturer instructions. It includes fields for the installer's company name, the vehicle details (Renault Master), license plate, and date. A stamp and signature area are provided. The installer also confirms that the vehicle owner has been informed about the proper use and maintenance of the installed tow bar. Two heart symbols [heart-symbol] are present in the visual representation of this section.
