Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series with Multiplatform Phone Firmware

Data Sheet

Multiplatform phone firmware enables the Cisco 8800 Series to function with third-party call control systems.

Product Description

Cisco provides firmware loads specific to partners providing voice and video services to end customers on third-party platforms for these platforms running on Cisco® IP Phone 8800 Series. The feature set available with this firmware is not identical to the firmware designed and created for use with Cisco call control systems, but it is very similar. For clarity, this data sheet focuses exclusively on the features provided in these multiplatform phone firmware loads. For a list of hardware-enabled features, refer to the data sheets for the phones found in the Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series product information.

This multiplatform phone firmware is provided only with phones listed in the order with any of the SKUs listed in Table 4. Phones ordered as multiplatform phones do not function with Cisco call control. If in doubt, contact the alias ipphone-pm-team.
