Installation Guidelines
General Safety: The manufacturer is not liable for damages resulting from improper use, unauthorized modifications, use for purposes other than intended, or non-compliant installation. The appliance must be installed according to regulations in a well-ventilated area and installation should be performed by qualified technicians.
Cutout Dimensions: Specific cutout dimensions (X and Y in mm) are provided for various models, often with rounded corners (e.g., R35, R45, R50, R65, R126, R1911.5). These are detailed in tables and diagrams.
Installation Clearances: Minimum distances must be observed:
- 135 mm from side/rear walls (from the burner head edge).
- 500 mm from overhead cabinets or shelves.
- 30 mm from the surface below the hob.
Gas Connection:
- Ensure local gas supply conditions (type and pressure) are compatible with the appliance's settings, indicated on the appliance's label.
- The appliance is not connected to a flue for combustion products and requires adequate ventilation.
- Gas connections must be made using rigid metal pipes and leak-tight fittings. Flexible hoses are permissible if installed to allow inspection, protected from heat and stress, and not exceeding 1.5m in length.
- Always check for gas leaks using a non-corrosive fluid after connection. Do not use soapy water or open flames for leak detection.
- The appliance operates with specific gas types (Butane G30, Propane G31) and pressures (e.g., 30 mbar, 28-30 mbar, 37 mbar).
Electrical Connection:
- The appliance must ONLY be connected to a 12V DC power source.
- Never connect to mains voltage (230V AC) as this will cause permanent damage and pose a safety risk.
- Use a double cable (e.g., 2 x 0.5 mm² for lengths up to 2m) and observe polarity (+ 12V marked terminals).
Fixing: Appliances are fixed to the furniture using supplied screws, as detailed in specific diagrams, typically accommodating countertop thicknesses between 15-33 mm.
Technical Description
Control Panel: The control panel features buttons and symbols for burner operation and flame adjustment. Key symbols include:
- Burner control knob: Indicates the control for a specific hob burner.
- Electronic ignition: Button for igniting the burners.
- Flame settings: Symbols for maximum flame, minimum flame, and gas off.
Burner Specifications:
The hobs feature burners of different diameters, typically 64 mm (Type A) and 50 mm (Type B), with varying thermal capacities (kW) and gas consumption (gr/h). Specific configurations are listed per model:
MODEL | A (Ø 64 mm) | B (Ø 50 mm) | ||||

Usage Instructions
General Operation: Appliances are for adult use only. Accessible parts become hot during and after use; keep children away. Turn controls to the 'off' position after cooking and close the main gas valve. Ensure adequate kitchen ventilation as gas appliances produce heat and humidity. Opening windows or using mechanical ventilation (extractor hoods) is recommended, especially during prolonged or intense use.
Glass Covers: Some models have glass covers. These can break if heated. Always open covers before lighting burners and allow burners to cool before closing covers. For models with integrated sinks, maintain a minimum 10 mm gap between cookware and the sink-side cover when it is closed.
Burner Selection: Place cookware centrally on the burner, ensuring the flame does not extend beyond the base of the pot. Recommended pot diameters are 160-220 mm for 64 mm burners (Type A) and 90-150 mm for 50 mm burners (Type B).
Ignition:
- Electronic Ignition: Ensure no cookware is on the burner. Press and turn the control knob to the large flame position, then simultaneously press the electronic ignition button. Hold the knob for a few seconds to ensure the flame stays lit.
- Manual Ignition: If electronic ignition fails, use a match or gas lighter. Press and turn the control knob to the large flame position while lighting the burner. Hold the knob to keep the flame lit.
Troubleshooting Ignition: If a burner fails to ignite, check the gas supply, try manual ignition, or turn the knob to the low flame setting. If the appliance does not work, close the gas supply and contact a retailer.
Flame Adjustment: Turn the control knob to the desired flame level.
Flame Control:
- Propane (G31) flames should have a blue inner cone and a clear edge.
- Butane (G30) flames may initially have slight yellow tips that intensify as the burner heats up.
Gas Bottle Management:
- Use only the gas type and pressure specified by the manufacturer.
- Gas bottles must be placed vertically, equipped with a valve and pressure regulator, and be easily accessible for substitution.
- Substitution Procedure: Close appliance valves, ensure no open flames nearby, close the bottle valve, unscrew the regulator, remove the empty bottle, and install the new one. Verify for leaks with a non-corrosive fluid. Do not use soapy water or open flames.
- Gas Leaks: If a gas odor is detected, immediately open windows, evacuate the area, do not operate electrical switches or create sparks, extinguish all open flames, close the gas bottle valve, and contact an authorized technician.
Cleaning and Maintenance
General Cleaning: Before cleaning, turn off and unplug the appliance. Allow it to cool completely. Avoid contact between hot surfaces and cold water or damp cloths, as this can cause damage. Do not use abrasive, corrosive, or chlorine-based cleaners, steel wool, or iron wool. Do not leave acidic or alkaline substances (like vinegar, salt, or lemon juice) on surfaces.
Surface Cleaning: Stainless steel and enamelled parts should be cleaned with water and mild soap or a neutral detergent, then rinsed and dried with clean sponges and cloths.
Injector Substitution: This procedure should be performed by authorized personnel. Refer to Figure 7, page 10 for details. The table lists injector sizes (mm) for burner types A (64 mm) and B (50 mm), along with their corresponding stamped numbers (64 and 50 respectively).
Warranty and Pressure Testing
Pressure Testing: The pressure testing device is located under the hob (Figure 8, page 11). Dismantling and mounting this device must be done by a specialized technician. Pressure values depend on the gas type used.
Warranty: The legal warranty period applies. For defective products, contact the manufacturer's local subsidiary or a specialized retailer. Provide a copy of the purchase invoice and a description of the defect or failure for warranty claims.
