3. Scope of delivery

4. Intended use

The liquefied gas cooktops in the following model series are intended for installation in a kitchen or worktop in caravans and motor caravans. They are not suitable for boat or marine usage.

The model series covered by this manual are:

The devices must only be used for cooking food. The device must not be used as a space heater.

This device shall be installed in accordance with the regulations in force and only used in a well ventilated space. Read the instructions before installing or using this device.

This product is only suitable for the intended purpose and application in accordance with these instructions.

5. Technical description

This manual provides information that is necessary for proper installation and/or operation of the product. Poor installation and/or improper operating or maintenance will result in unsatisfactory performance and a possible failure.

5.1 Function

The device is equipped with an automatic flame monitoring device which automatically interrupts the gas supply after approx. 20 seconds if the flame goes out.

5.2 Specifications for the different models

The safety glass cover can be used as a work surface when it is closed.

6. Installing the device

WARNING! Assembly and installation of the device must only be carried out by licensed gasfitters. Incorrect assembly and installation can result in serious hazards due to the escape of gas.

6.1 Selecting the installation location

When selecting the installation location, observe the following instructions:

6.2 Create a cutout according to the installation drawing:

6.3 Connecting the device to the gas supply

WARNING! Beware of injury! Only use propane or butane gas cylinders with a certified pressure reduction valve and suitable head. Compare the pressure information on the type plate with the pressure information on the propane or butane gas cylinder.

You must use a rigid gas line for the connection.

Observe the following instructions for the connection:

Connect the pipes as shown (fig. 7). [Diagram: Illustration of gas pipe connection to the appliance. Shows two connection points (A and B) with fittings.] The connection of the gas pipe to the appliance (1/4 BSPT female) must be made with a rigid metal pipe. The pipe work and fittings shall be free from defects and of an approved type.

Open the gas supply.

WARNING! Beware of injury! Never check for leaks with an open flame or near sources of ignition.

Check all connections for leaks with leak spray or soapy water. There are no leaks if no bubbles form. ✔️

6.4 Connecting the device to the power supply (PI8023)

7. Using the device

7.1 Igniting a burner

WARNING! Beware of injury! The complete ignition process must be visible from above and must not be hidden by pots placed on the stove.

NOTICE! The flame must not extend beyond the edge of the pot. Centre the pot above the burner ensuring stability on the pot grid (see fig. 1, page 6).

Choose a pot according to the following table:

7.2 Switching off the device

7.3 Replacing the gas cylinder

WARNING! Beware of injury! Only replace the gas cylinder when there is good ventilation. Make sure that there is no source of ignition nearby. Only change the gas cylinder when the device is not in use and the gas supply to the device is switched off.

8. Cleaning the device

CAUTION! Hot surface! The surface may still be hot. Keep children away. Let the device cool down to ambient temperature before you touch it with bare hands.

NOTICE! Do not use any sharp or hard objects for cleaning since they may damage the device. Only use standard commercial cleaning agents. Do not use a steam cleaner to clean the device.

9. Maintaining the device

9.1 Abnormal Operation

Gas valves, which are difficult to turn are considered to be abnormal operation and may require servicing.

9.2 Annual safety check

For safety reasons, have the device checked by authorised personnel every year for proper function. Any defects must be repaired.

9.3 Replacing the nozzles

WARNING! Beware of injury! The nozzles must only be replaced by authorised personnel. Incorrect assembly and installation can result in serious hazards due to the escape of gas.

10. Troubleshooting

WARNING! Beware of injury! Servicing of the cooktop must only be done by an authorised personnel and the cooktop must not be modified. Power must be disconnected before any servicing or maintenance is concluded.

Contact an authorised service representative if you observe one of the following abnormal conditions:

Should a faulty condition develop in the cooktop that is not described above, refer to the following table first for possible causes and remedies prior to contacting an authorised service representative.

11. Warranty

If the product does not work as it should, please contact your retailer or the manufacturer's branch in your country (see dometic.com/dealer). The warranty applicable to your product is 3 year(s).

For repair and warranty processing, please include the following documents when you send in the device:

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

New Zealand only

This warranty policy is subject to the conditions and guarantees which are mandatory as implied by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993(NZ).

12. Disposal

Place the packaging material in the appropriate recycling waste bins wherever possible. ♻️

If you wish to finally dispose of the product, ask your local recycling centre or specialist dealer for details about how to do this in accordance with the applicable disposal regulations.
