Huawei B535-932a Quick Start Guide
Getting Started
Step 1: Insert SIM Card
Insert a proper SIM card into the SIM card slot. Supported SIM card types are mini-SIM (2FF), micro-SIM (3FF), and nano-SIM (4FF).
Step 2: Connect Power
Connect the router's power adapter to a power supply. The router will start up automatically and connect to the Internet.
Step 3: Connect Wi-Fi Device
Connect your Wi-Fi device to the router's Wi-Fi network. The default Wi-Fi name and password are provided on the router's nameplate. If using a computer, connect it to the router's LAN port using a network cable.
Step 4: Log In or Use App
Log in to the web-based management page to manage your router, such as changing the Wi-Fi name or password. Refer to the nameplate for the default IP address and login password. Alternatively, download the Huawei smart device management app.
Overview of Indicators and Ports
Indicator/Port | Description |
---|---|
1. Network status indicator | Steady white: Connected to network. Steady red: Not connected to network. |
2. Wi-Fi® indicator | Steady on: Wi-Fi is enabled. Flashing: A HUAWEI HiLink device is detected. Press the [H button] (⏻) on the router for faster flashing and connection. |
3. Signal strength indicator | More signal bars indicate a stronger signal. |
4. Power button | Press and hold to power the router on or off. |
5. H button | Press to enable WPS or HiLink connection. If accidentally pressed, wait for the Wi-Fi indicator to stop flashing (approx. two minutes). |
6. Reset button | When powered on, use a needle-type object to press and hold the Reset button until the network status indicator flashes. Release to restore factory settings. |
7. LAN/WAN port | Connect a LAN device (e.g., computer, switch) to the router for Internet access. Connect the router to a wall-mounted Ethernet port for Internet access. |
8. Landline phone port (Optional) | Connect to a telephone. |
9. External antenna ports | Install external antennas to improve signal reception. |

Software Update
By using this device, you agree to the following: The device automatically obtains software update information from Huawei or your carrier after connecting to the Internet. This uses mobile data and requires access to the device's unique identifier (IMEI/SN) and service provider network ID (PLMN). The device supports automatic updates, which are enabled by default and can be configured in the web-based management page settings.
Safety Information
Electronic Device
Do not use the device if prohibited or if it causes danger or interference with other electronic devices.
Interference with Medical Equipment
- Follow hospital and healthcare facility rules. Do not use where prohibited.
- Wireless devices may affect hearing aids or pacemakers. Consult your service provider.
- Maintain a minimum distance of 15 cm between the device and a pacemaker. If using a pacemaker, hold the device on the opposite side and do not carry it in your front pocket.
Areas with Flammables and Explosives
- Do not use in areas with flammables or explosives (e.g., gas stations, oil depots, chemical plants) due to explosion or fire risk. Follow text or symbol instructions.
- Do not store or transport the device with flammable liquids, gases, or explosives.
Operating Environment
- Avoid dusty, damp, dirty, or magnetic environments, which can cause malfunctions.
- Disconnect from power supply before connecting/disconnecting cables. Ensure hands are dry.
- Place the device on a stable surface.
- Keep away from strong magnetic or electric field generating appliances (e.g., microwave ovens, refrigerators).
- During thunderstorms, power off and disconnect all cables to protect against lightning strikes.
- Ideal operating temperatures: 0 °C to 40 °C. Ideal storage temperatures: -20 °C to +70 °C.
- Keep the device in a well-ventilated, cool area away from direct sunlight. Do not cover it or place it in containers with poor heat dissipation.
- Avoid rain and moisture to prevent fire or electrical shock hazards.
- Keep away from heat sources (heaters, stoves, radiators, candles).
- Do not place objects (e.g., candles, water containers) on the device. If foreign objects or liquids enter, stop use, power off, disconnect cables, and contact a Huawei authorized service center.
- Do not block device openings. Ensure at least 10 cm clearance for heat dissipation.
- If the device overheats, stop use. Prolonged skin contact with an overheated device can cause low-temperature burns.
- Do not touch the device's antenna, as it may reduce communication quality.
- Do not allow children or pets to bite or suck the device or accessories, as this may cause damage or explosion.
- Observe local laws and regulations, and respect privacy and legal rights.
- Maintain a minimum distance of 20 cm between the device and your body.
- Ensure good reception. Keep the device away from metal materials (brackets, doors, windows) by more than 25 cm, and maintain more than 30 cm distance from other devices.
Child Safety
- Follow child safety precautions. Children playing with the device may be dangerous. Detachable parts can be a choking hazard. Keep away from children.
- The device and accessories are not intended for children. Children should use with adult supervision.
Accessories
Using unapproved accessories may cause fire, explosion, or other hazards. Use only manufacturer-approved accessories. Using other types may void the warranty, violate regulations, or be dangerous. Contact your retailer for approved accessory information.
Power Adapter Safety
- The power plug is a disconnect device. For pluggable devices, the socket-outlet must be near and easily accessible.
- Unplug the adapter when not in use.
- Do not drop or impact the power adapter. If damaged, take it to an authorized service center.
- If the power cable is damaged (exposed cord, broken, loose plug), stop use immediately to avoid electric shock, short circuits, or fire.
- Do not touch the power cord or device with wet hands.
- If the power adapter is exposed to water or excessive moisture, take it to an authorized service center.
- Ensure the power adapter meets IEC/EN 62368-1 Annex Q requirements and is approved by national/local standards.
- Do not touch heated parts.
- Warning: This equipment may not work when mains power fails.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Keep the device dry and protect from collision during storage, transportation, and operation.
- Do not attempt to dry with external heat sources (microwave, hair dryer).
- Avoid extreme heat or cold, which can interfere with function or cause fire/explosion.
- Avoid collision, which can lead to malfunctions, overheating, fire, or explosion.
- If not using for an extended period, power off and disconnect all cables.
- If unusual events occur (smoke, sound, smell), stop use, power off, disconnect cables, and contact an authorized service center.
- Do not trample, pull, or excessively bend cables, as this can cause malfunction.
- Before cleaning, stop use, close applications, and disconnect all cables.
- Do not use chemical detergents, powders, or agents (alcohol, benzene) as they can cause damage or fire hazards. Use a clean, soft, dry cloth.
- Do not place magnetic stripe cards near the device for extended periods, as they may be damaged.
- Do not dismantle or remanufacture the device or accessories; this voids the warranty and releases the manufacturer from liability. Contact an authorized service center for damage assistance.
Disposal and Recycling Information

The 5150 to 5350 MHz frequency range is restricted to indoor use in AT, BE, BG, CH, CY, CZ, DE, DK, EE, EL, ES, FI, FR, HR, HU, IE, IS, IT, LI, LT, LU, LV, MT, NL, NO, PL, PT, RO, SE, SI, SK, TR, UK(NI). In the UK, the 5150 to 5350 MHz frequency range is restricted to indoor use.

(b) Maximum radio-frequency power: Less than the highest limit specified in the Harmonized Standard.
