1. Application Type: Inside or Outside Mount
Important Note: All shades may arrive pre-programmed to sensors, remotes, and/or wall switches.
This system supports two mounting configurations: INSIDE or OUTSIDE the window frame. The diagrams illustrate how measurements differ between these two options.
INSIDE MOUNT: The shade assembly is installed within the window recess.
OUTSIDE MOUNT: The shade assembly is installed on the wall surface outside the window frame.
Diagrams show a window frame with arrows indicating INSIDE and OUTSIDE measurements, and visual examples of both mounting types.2. Install Fascia into Brackets
Position the fascia piece so it fits into both the motor bracket and the idler end bracket. The fascia is designed to slide into grooves or slots on these brackets.
Diagrams A through E visually demonstrate the process of inserting the fascia into the motor and idler brackets.3. Mounting Location
Place the assembled brackets and fascia into their final mounting position. This step applies to both inside and outside mount configurations. Bracket covers are optional accessories.
A. OUTSIDE MOUNT: The fascia and brackets are attached to the exterior wall surface of the window frame.
B. INSIDE MOUNT: The fascia and brackets are installed within the interior recess of the window frame.
4. Screw Installation
Mark the precise locations for screw holes on the mounting surface. Pre-drill pilot holes using the 1/8" drill bit. Then, securely attach the brackets and fascia using the provided screws, utilizing a 1/4" hex head driver.

To facilitate installation, align the swivel ball bearing with the idler shaft. Ensure the idler shaft is pressed completely into the idler end bracket.
Diagrams A and B provide visual guidance on how to insert the idler end of the shade mechanism into its corresponding bracket.7. Motor End Installation
Begin by removing the locking ring from the motor. Align the motor with the motor bracket, then push the motor firmly into the motor bracket until it is fully seated.
Diagrams A and B provide visual guidance on how to insert the motor into its designated bracket.8. Lock Ring
Attach the locking ring to the motor bracket. This action secures the motor in place. Confirm that the motor is correctly and securely fastened.
Diagrams A and B show the motor in position and the subsequent attachment of the lock ring for security.9. Plug In Motor
- Connect the motor power cord to the nearest available power outlet.
- Install wire tie pads at strategic points and use zip ties to secure the power cord, ensuring a tidy installation.
- The wiring path should run parallel to window mullions or drop ceiling tiles for neat cable management.
- Any modifications or alterations to the power cable must be performed by a certified electrician to ensure compliance with all applicable city and state electrical codes.
10. Shade Adjusting (If Necessary)
Test the shade by rolling it up and down. Confirm that the hembar remains level throughout its travel and that the fabric rolls evenly onto the center tube.
- If the hembar is not level, lower the shade until the metal roller tube is visible.
- To correct unevenness, apply layers of masking tape to the roller tube at the end that is lower, until the hembar is straight.
- If the material tracks to one side during operation, lower the shade until the metal roller tube is visible.
- Apply layers of masking tape to the roller tube at the end opposite the direction of tracking, until the shade rolls up straight.
11. Adjusting Limits (If Necessary)
For setting the upper and lower travel limits of the shade, please consult the specific programming instructions tailored to the motor model you are using.
