SilencerCo Omega 300 Field Manual

Important Warnings

Failure to follow installation and maintenance instructions may result in serious personal injury and damage to the firearm. Always treat a suppressed firearm with the same caution as an unsuppressed firearm. Ensure proper attachment of the silencer to the barrel, with no visible gap between the barrel shoulder and the silencer thread mount. Do not fire the host with an obstructed silencer. A sonic crack may be produced by the projectile breaking the sound barrier, which is normal and not related to product performance.

Periodically verify the silencer is securely tightened onto the barrel, recommended after every 30 discharges. Before removing the silencer, ensure the firearm is unloaded and the action is open. Use caution as the silencer may be hot after firing. Use gloves to avoid burns. After removal, use a thread protector or other muzzle device to protect the muzzle threads and crown.

Mounting Options

SilencerCo recommends using only approved mounts and accessories for optimum performance and to prevent damage. Ensure secure mounting before firing. SilencerCo offers mounts for popular barrel thread patterns. Use the correct mount for your barrel threads and ensure a proper shoulder for the mount to seat against. For semi-permanent attachment, use Rocksett™ or another high-temp threadlocker.

Installation & Removal of Direct Thread Mount

Thread the mount onto the Omega body by hand, avoiding cross-threading. Use the Bravo Multitool's three pegs to tighten the mount clockwise. Reverse for removal, loosening counter-clockwise.

Mounting to the Firearm (Direct Thread)

With the firearm unloaded, align the direct thread mount with the barrel threads. Screw the silencer onto the barrel until firmly secured and no additional barrel threading is visible. Hand tighten only. To remove, reverse the process.

Ready for Use (Direct Thread)

If the mount remains on the barrel after removing the silencer, use the internal wrench flats on the Omega thread mount. Use an appropriately-sized open-end wrench to remove the mount from the silencer body. Reinstall by following the installation instructions.

ASR Mount

The ASR Mount is a quick-attach/detach system requiring a compatible muzzle device. Use the included shim kit for mount indexing if needed. Crush washers are not recommended. Ensure the muzzle device seats against a 90° barrel shoulder for proper alignment.

Installation of ASR Mount

Thread the ASR Mount assembly into the Omega silencer body by hand, avoiding cross-threading. Use the Charlie Basic Tool to grasp the notches in the ASR mount base and tighten clockwise to approximately 35 ft-lbs.

Muzzle Devices

Remove the existing muzzle device and any crush washers or thread spacers. Clean the barrel threads and shoulder. Install the ASR muzzle device by threading it onto the barrel. Use the provided shim kit for alignment. Tighten with a 3/4" open-end wrench on the wrench flats at the rear of the brake. Do not use the muzzle brake ports. Rocksett™ or a high-temp threadlocker is recommended. Torque the flash hider/muzzle brake to 20-30 ft-lbs.

Mounting to the Firearm (ASR Mount)

Ensure the ASR collar is in the unlocked position. Slide the Omega's back end over the muzzle device and screw it onto the device until hand-tight (approx. 8-15 ft-lbs.). Rotate the ASR collar to the locked position. Reverse for removal.

Anchor Brakes & Front Caps

To remove the Anchor Brake, align the Bravo Multitool pegs with the holes on the brake. Grip the silencer firmly and rotate the tool counter-clockwise. Reverse for installation of the Anchor Brake or an optional flat front cap, starting threads by hand.

WARNING: Firing the Omega without the Anchor Brake or a SilencerCo front cap will negate benefits and void the warranty.

Maintenance

The Omega 300 typically requires minimal maintenance. Periodically clean mounts with standard gun cleaning solvent and a brush to remove carbon or fouling. Use a cleaning brush through the bore if necessary to remove light fouling. Do not use cleaning patches, as they may become lodged and cause damage.

CAUTION: Always follow cleaner/solvent warning labels. Use adequate ventilation and wear skin and eye protection when using solvents.
