The product consists of a Transmitter (local) and a Receiver (remote), each with two sides (Side A and Side B) and numbered connection ports.
Transmitter (Local)
- Side A: Features a USB-B Host Port, labeled [1]. This port connects to a USB-A port on a host computer and supports USB 2.0 (480 Mbps).
- Side B: Features an RJ45 Port, labeled [2], which connects the transmitter to the receiver via a Cat5e/Cat6 cable. It also has a DC 5V Power Port, labeled [3] (note: this port is not required for the transmitter as it is powered by the host computer). A Power LED, labeled [4], indicates power status: Solid Green means receiving power; Off means no power.
Receiver (Remote)
- Side A: Features a USB-A Peripheral Port, labeled [5]. This port connects a remote USB-A peripheral device and supports USB 2.0 (480 Mbps) and up to 5 V/0.5 A (2.5 W) power.
- Side B: Features an RJ45 Port, labeled [6], which connects the receiver to the transmitter via a Cat5e/Cat6 cable. It also has a DC 5V Power Port, labeled [7], for connecting the included Universal Power Adapter. A Power LED, labeled [8], indicates power status: Solid Green means receiving power; Off means no power.

Requirements
- Computer (local) with a USB-A Port
- USB peripheral device (remote) with Required Cabling
- Cat5/Cat6 Cabling. Up to 490 ft (150 m)
Installation
Note: While both the Transmitter and Receiver have a 5V DC Power Port, the Transmitter is powered by the Host Computer. The included Universal Power Adapter is intended for the Receiver.
Transmitter (Local)
- Connect the USB-B Host Port on the Transmitter to a USB-A Port on the Host Computer using the included 2 ft (61 cm) USB-A to USB-B Host Cable.
- Connect an RJ-45 Terminated Cat5e/Cat6 Cable (up to 490 ft. / 150 m) to the RJ-45 Output Port on the Transmitter.
Note: The cable should not go through any networking equipment (e.g., router, switch, etc.). The Ethernet cable must follow the EIA/TIA-568-A or B Standard.
Receiver (Remote)
- Connect the USB Peripheral Device to the USB-A Peripheral Port on the Receiver.
- Connect the other side of the RJ-45 terminated Cat5e/Cat6 Cable (connected to the Transmitter in Step 2) to the RJ-45 Input Port on the Receiver.
- Connect the included Universal Power Adapter from an AC Electrical Outlet to the 5V DC Power Port on the Receiver.
- The Host Computer will recognize the connected device as a USB Peripheral Device (remote).
