CPU Installation Steps

  1. Prepare the Motherboard

    Place the motherboard on a stable surface and open the retention arm of the AM5 socket.

  2. Align CPU Orientation

    Locate the golden triangle marking on the CPU and align it with the triangle marking on the socket.

  3. Install CPU

    Gently place the CPU into the socket, ensuring it sits flush, then lower the retention arm to secure it.

  4. Install Cooler

    Apply thermal paste and install the AMD Wraith Stealth cooler, connecting the fan power.

Memory Installation

  1. Select Memory Slots

    For dual-channel configuration, typically use A2 and B2 slots.

  2. Install Memory

    Open the slot clips, align the memory notch, and insert vertically until both clips lock automatically.

  3. Enable EXPO

    Enter BIOS to enable EXPO profile for optimal memory performance.

First Boot Setup

  1. Enter BIOS

    Press DEL or F2 key during startup to enter BIOS setup.

  2. Verify Installation

    Check CPU temperature in BIOS to ensure it is normal (30-50°C).

  3. Enable EXPO

    Enable EXPO profile in memory settings for optimal memory performance.

Overclocking Note: This processor is not multiplier-locked, but overclocking is not possible with an A620 motherboard.
