IKEA TARVA Bed Frame Assembly Instructions

Introduction

This document provides assembly instructions for the IKEA TARVA bed frame. Please ensure you have all parts and tools before beginning assembly. Recommended tools include a screwdriver (Phillips and flathead) and a hammer.

Important Safety Information:

Two people are recommended for assembly.
Do not overtighten screws.
Follow the steps in order.

Assembly Steps

Step 1-3: Prepare Side Rails

Attach cam lock screws (#101350) and dowels (#115312) to the side rails as shown in the diagrams.

Step 4-5: Attach Slats to Side Rails

Insert dowels (#101350) into the pre-drilled holes on the side rails. Place the slats onto the dowels, ensuring they are evenly spaced. Secure the slats with screws (#101350).

Step 6-7: Assemble the Frame Base

Connect the side rails to the headboard and footboard panels using cam lock nuts (#100514) and cam lock screws (#105330). Ensure the frame is square.

Step 8-9: Attach Center Support and Feet

Attach the central support beam (#105105) to the underside of the frame. Screw in the feet (#128780) into the designated holes.

Step 10-11: Secure Headboard and Footboard

Attach the headboard and footboard panels to the side rails using the provided screws and cam lock system.

Step 12-13: Attach Corner Brackets

Secure the corners of the bed frame with the corner brackets (#100001) and screws (#105330).

Step 14-15: Attach Support Rails

Attach the long support rails (#124401) and short support rails (#124402) to the underside of the bed frame. These provide additional support for the mattress.

Step 16: Final Tightening

Ensure all screws and cam locks are securely tightened. Use the provided tool (#117327) for tightening cam locks.

Step 17-19: Attach Slats to Support Rails

Place the remaining slats onto the support rails and secure them with the provided screws (#191315).

Step 20-21: Final Check

Double-check all connections to ensure the bed frame is stable and secure. The assembly is now complete.

Step 22-23: Mattress Placement

Place your mattress on the assembled bed frame. Ensure it fits properly within the frame.
