Installation
Installation Requirements
- The lift must be installed indoors in an environment free from corrosive or combustible substances.
- Avoid proximity to steam pipes, hot air pipes, or other central heating equipment.
- Ensure the voltage supply is either 100-120V or 220-240V, with a power consumption of 38-76W.
Installation Steps
- Determine the optimal installation position for the hanger by considering the projector's screen size and focal length. Create a ceiling hole, recommended to be 3cm smaller in length and width than the electric hanger's bottom plate, and ensure an inspection hole is accessible on one side.
- Drill mounting holes on the ceiling (or mounting bracket) according to the mounting plate's layout. Secure the mounting plate using four M8x12 expansion screws, ensuring the plate's center aligns with the ceiling hole's center.
- Insert the main unit (box) into the mounting plate and stabilize it centrally. The four M6x12 screws connecting the box and mounting plate should be tightened after initial machine commissioning and powering on. Subsequently, unfold the hanger mechanism.
- Attach the universal claw to the projector, aiming for its center of gravity. Mount the projector and claw assembly onto the lower end of the hanger's cabinet body. Install the screw rod and connecting pieces to set the upper limit for the lift's travel.
A lateral view diagram shows the placement of the upper limit micro switch and the lower limit micro switch on the lift mechanism.
Limit Position Adjustment
The lift features two limit switches located on the top side. The left switch is for setting the upper limit (ascent stop position), and the right switch is for the lower limit (descent stop position).
Setting the Upper Limit
- Using the remote control, move the lift to the desired uppermost position and press the stop button.
- With a screwdriver, loosen the screw on the upper limit setting button. Move the button towards the middle until it is close to the lift pulley. Tighten the screw to secure the position.
Setting the Lower Limit
- Using the remote control, move the lift to the desired lowermost position and press the stop button.
- With a screwdriver, loosen the screw on the lower limit setting button. Move the button towards the middle until it is close to the lift pulley. Tighten the screw to secure the position.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Ensure explosion screws are securely fastened to the ceiling.
- During operation, do not stand directly beneath the lift or place any objects within its reach.
- Verify the projector's center of gravity is balanced within the lift to prevent shifting or loss of stability. Avoid overloading the lift.
- Keep hands and other objects clear of the cross-scissor parts while the lift is in motion to prevent injury.
Installation Components Overview
The installation involves several key components:
- Ceiling: The mounting surface.
- Installation Plate: Attaches to the ceiling.
- Explosion Screw: Used to secure the installation plate.
- Lower Limit Switch & Upper Limit Switch: Control the travel limits.
- Connection Plate: Connects parts of the lift mechanism.
- M8x4 screws: Fasteners for the connection plate.
- Universal Claw: Mounts the projector. It has adjustable arms, with a typical spread of 400mm.
- M4x8 screws: Fasteners for the universal claw.
- Connection Screw Bar: Part of the lift mechanism.
- Decorative Panel: Covers exposed parts.
It is crucial to ensure that the four screws pass through the holes correctly and that the security screw is tightened to prevent the lower part of the lift from sliding.
Operation
Remote Controller
The remote controller features three primary buttons:
- Up: Initiates upward movement.
- Stop: Halts the lift's current motion.
- Down: Initiates downward movement.
Adjustment of Upper and Lower Limit
- Upper Limit Adjustment: To enlarge the running distance, move the limit switch leftwards. To shorten the running distance, move it rightwards.
- Lower Limit Adjustment: To shorten the running distance, move the limit switch leftwards. To enlarge the running distance, move it rightwards.
The lift connects to a power source via a power cable.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Solution |
---|---|
Parts received damaged. | Please contact CGOLDENWALL customer support for a free replacement part. |
The lift can only go down but cannot go up. | 1. Check if the power plug is securely connected. 2. If the power supply is normal, the lower limit may be set too long and requires resetting. |
The remote control fails. | Avoid pressing the remote control button continuously, as this may activate its thermal protection function. Wait approximately 20 minutes for the remote to cool down before attempting to use it again. Repeatedly setting the lift is unnecessary; a single button press is sufficient to operate the hanger. |
Unsteady lifting. | There might be an issue with the lift's belt. Straighten the belts, hold the chassis steady with your hands, and then carefully roll any excess belt material into the designated groove after straightening. |
