Advanced Features and Maintenance
Installing a Micro SD Card
For local video recording, insert a Micro SD memory card (FAT32 format, maximum 128GB capacity) into the designated slot. Ensure the card is inserted in the correct direction and pushed until it clicks. To remove, gently push the card in until it disengages, then pull it out.
Resetting the Camera
To reset the camera to factory defaults, power it on and wait for the self-test. Locate the reset hole on the device and insert the provided pin. Press and hold the reset button for approximately 5 seconds until you hear a beep. The camera will then perform a self-test and reset.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions
Q: Camera does not turn on or work?
A: Ensure the camera is screwed into a powered E27 socket. Wait for the camera to complete its self-test after powering on. If issues persist, contact support.
Q: WiFi not compatible?
A: Only 2.4GHz WiFi is supported. If you have a dual-band router, separate the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. Ensure the camera is placed in an area with a strong WiFi signal for smoother video streaming.
Q: Screen flip or motion tracking reverse movement?
A: You can flip the screen orientation in the camera's settings under "Basic Settings". If motion tracking moves in reverse after flipping the screen, contact the seller with your device information for potential firmware fixes.
Q: Why can't my phone receive alert notifications?
A: 1. Ensure motion detection ("Smart Alarm") is enabled and sensitivity is set appropriately. 2. Verify that the iCSee app has permission to send notifications on your phone. 3. In the app, navigate to Device Settings > Smart Alarm and enable "Event Push". Set "Event Time" to "All Day Alarm" if needed. 4. Note that alarm intervals (e.g., 1-3-5 minutes) limit the frequency of alerts.
Q: Can't play back video?
A: 1. Confirm that a memory card is inserted or cloud storage is purchased. 2. In "Record Settings", ensure recording is enabled and set "Full Storage" to "Overwrite" in "Local Storage". 3. If the playback screen shows "No local TF card", go to Settings > About and reboot the device.
Q: Device displays offline?
A: 1. Check your router for power outages or network disconnections. Wait a few minutes for the network to restore. 2. Verify that your WiFi name or password has not changed. If so, remove the device from the app and re-add it. 3. Reset the camera by holding the reset button for 5 seconds and reconnect it. 4. If the device frequently goes offline after a period of use, your router might be overloaded; consider a router with higher capacity or reducing connected devices.
Q: Frequent notifications even at low sensitivity?
A: 1. Set the image quality to "SD" for more accurate motion detection. 2. Enable the "Human Detection" function to reduce false alarms from non-human movement. 3. Turn off the "Auto Tracking" function, as camera movement can trigger alarms.
Q: Frequent alarms at night?
A: Turn off the "Auto Track" function and enable the "Human Detection" function.
Q: Can I use all camera functions for free?
A: Yes, all functions are free except for the cloud storage service.
