To Begin Playing

Real Binoculars

The binoculars can be used to explore your surroundings. They are capable of 10x optical zoom with 21 mm diameter objective lenses. An object 100 meters away can appear the same size as when viewed from a distance of 10 meters. This functionality does not have any electronic parts, so the binoculars can be used even when the unit is not powered on.

WARNING:

Wrist Strap Attachment Instructions

Use the included Wrist Strap to avoid accidentally dropping the device. To securely attach the binoculars to the Wrist Strap:

  1. Step 1: Locate the thread loop on the end of the strap. Insert it into the groove behind the bar and then push the loop through the opening.
  2. Step 2: Feed the end of the strap up and through the loop and pull it tight.
  3. Step 3: Make sure the loop is securely tightened around the bar.

How to Use

  1. Hold the binoculars up to your eyes using both hands and use the Wrist Strap to secure the device if desired.
  2. While looking at a distant object, carefully move the 2 Adjustable Binocular Barrels to fit the width of your eyes so that your left and right fields are correctly aligned, forming a perfect circle. If the interpulillary distance (IPD) has not been properly adjusted, the image might be uncomfortable to view.
  3. Turn the Focus Dial until the image appears sharp and clear. If the Focus Dial makes a clicking sound, it has reached the end of its turning capacity and will no longer change the image's sharpness or clarity until the Focus Dial is turned in the opposite direction. The best viewing distance of any object is at least 4 meters away (approximately), otherwise the Focus Dial may not be able to focus on or sharpen the image.

To Begin Playing with the LCD Screen

Press the Power Button to turn on the unit.

Camera Mode & Night Vision Mode

After powering on, the unit will enter Camera mode by default. This mode allows you to take photos with up to 2x digital zoom. To return to Camera mode from a different mode or menu, press the Camera Button or select Camera mode from the Main Menu.

To enter Night Vision mode, press the Night Vision Button or select Night Vision mode from the Main Menu. This mode allows you to view your surroundings on the screen and take photos in the dark. It requires more power from the batteries than the other modes. If the batteries do not have enough power, Night Vision mode cannot be used. Please replace the batteries if this occurs.

Alkaline batteries are recommended for a better Night Vision experience.

The following functions are available in both Camera mode and Night Vision mode:

If you want to continue to use Night Vision mode, please replace the batteries when you see this icon ?️.

Care & Maintenance

  1. Do not point the binoculars directly at the sun and never leave the unit where direct sunlight can enter either the Binoculars Objective or Ocular Lens. Light ray concentration can damage the device and cause the binoculars to stop working. It can also cause fires and/or burns.
  2. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
  3. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources.
  4. Remove the batteries if the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.

Environmental Phenomena

The unit may malfunction if subjected to radio-frequency interference. It should revert to normal operation when the interference stops. If not, it may become necessary to turn the power Off and back On, or remove and reinstall the batteries. In the unlikely event of an electrostatic discharge, the unit may malfunction and lose memory, requiring the user to reset the device by removing and reinstalling the batteries.

(French text regarding environmental impact is omitted as per primary language requirement.)

WARNING: A very small percentage of the public, due to an existing condition, may experience epileptic seizures or momentary loss of consciousness when viewing certain types of flashing colors or patterns, especially on television. While the Magic Adventures™ Binoculars does not contribute to any additional risks, LeapFrog recommends that parents supervise their children while they play. If a child experiences dizziness, altered vision, disorientation, or convulsions, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. Focusing on an LCD screen at close range for a prolonged period may cause fatigue or discomfort. Children should take a 15-minute break for every hour of play.

Never look at the sun or other intense sources of light through the binoculars to avoid the risk of eye damage or blindness.

Never leave the binoculars where direct sunlight can enter either the Binoculars Objective Lens or Ocular Lens. This can damage the binoculars and cause it to stop working or cause fires and/or burns.

OTHER NOTES:

Electrostatic discharge or Electrical fast transient/burst may cause the unit to malfunction. In these cases, recover the unit by pressing and holding the Power Button ▶️ for 10 seconds until the unit turns off, then press and hold the Power Button ▶️ for 3 seconds to power on the unit. Another solution is to remove the batteries for 10 seconds and reinstall them.
