Syncing Your X04

Important: When syncing your X04 quadrocopter with the controller, ensure the quadrocopter is on a flat, level surface and that your digital trim settings are centered. This ensures proper programming of the 6-axis gyro.

Your X04 uses an automatic 2.4G channel selection system, allowing up to 8 people to fly simultaneously within the same wireless range without interference.

For One Person Play:

  1. Before starting, ensure your controller is OFF and the X04's battery is disconnected. Ensure no other 2.4G devices are in the vicinity.
  2. Install the X04's battery and place it on a flat, level surface. The LED indicators on the body should start flashing.
  3. Turn ON the remote. You will hear beeping sounds, and the white LED lights on the drone should flash slower. Pull the throttle all the way up, then all the way down. You will hear 2 beeps, and the white LED lights will turn solid, indicating successful syncing. If this does not occur, repeat the steps.

For Multi Person Play:

  1. Before starting, ensure all X04s and controllers are OFF. Ensure no other 2.4G devices are in the vicinity.
  2. Each person must sync their X04 individually to avoid interference. Follow steps 1-3, ensuring no one else is syncing simultaneously.
  3. After syncing, leave the player's X04 ON until all quadrocopters have been synced.
  4. If interference occurs, all players must turn off their controllers and quadrocopters for 60 seconds before restarting the process.

Note: If no microSDHC card is inserted, the drone's red LEDs will flash constantly.

Preparing for Flight

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FLY YOUR X04 IN RAIN, SNOW, HEAVY WINDS, THUNDER, OR LIGHTNING OUTDOORS. IT COULD DAMAGE YOUR PRODUCT AND POSSIBLY EVEN CAUSE BODILY HARM.

Flying Tips

Recognizing the Front and Rear of the Quadrocopter

The Quadrocopter has four rotors, but a distinct front (forward-facing) and rear (backward-facing) direction. The front is identified by two gray blades (see Diagram F), while the rear has the charging socket and two black propellers. The front of the Quadrocopter displays WHITE LED lights, and the back displays RED LED lights.

Understanding Trim Adjustments

Forward/Backward Trim

If your X04 drifts forward or backward automatically, adjust the FORWARD/BACKWARD TRIM buttons. Push and release the BACKWARD TRIM (B) button to correct forward drift, and the FORWARD TRIM (F) button to correct backward drift, until stable flight is maintained. Regular adjustments may be needed for accurate hovering.

Banking Left/Right Trim

If your X04 banks left or right automatically, adjust the LEFT BANK or RIGHT BANK TRIM buttons. Push and release the RIGHT BANK TRIM (R) button to correct left banking, and the LEFT BANK TRIM (L) button to correct right banking, until stable hovering is achieved. Regular adjustments may be needed for accurate hovering.

Note: Trim adjustments are accompanied by a beep tone. A single long beep indicates the product is center-trimmed. No beeps indicate the trim is at its maximum on a particular side.

Automatically Take Off / Land

Ensure the X04 is properly synced. Simply press the “START/LAND” button on the controller center for automatic takeoff. Press the “START/LAND” button again to descend and land automatically.

Tips: You can also move both control sticks simultaneously down to the inside or outside corners, hold them until the blades start spinning, release the sticks, and then push the throttle stick slowly to take off manually.

Understanding the Altitude Lock Sensor

The X04 features an Altitude Lock function utilizing an air pressure sensor for easier flight control and stability. After takeoff, fly the drone to a safe height and release the throttle. The sensor will lock the drone's altitude, allowing you to focus on directional controls. The drone will attempt to self-correct to the last locked height if affected by external forces. Note that atmospheric conditions may cause slight altitude variations.

Speed Setting Button

The X04 offers 4 speed settings: T (Training), 1 (SLOW), 2 (MEDIUM), and 3 (HIGH). The default setting is 1 (SLOW). Press and release the speed setting button to change speeds. The speed level is indicated by the number of beeps: one beep for slow, two for medium, and three for high.

T (Training) Mode

Press and hold the Speed Setting Button until you hear a long beep to enter T Mode. This mode allows for very slow flight and includes minimum and maximum height limits to aid learning. To exit T Mode, short-press the speed setting button again.

3/4 Channel Select

The X04 can be controlled in 3-channel (beginner) or 4-channel (advanced) mode. The default setting is 4-channel.

To change to 3-channel mode: Press the Throttle Control stick vertically down and release. You will hear 3 short beeps, indicating the X04 is now set to 3CH mode.

To change back to 4-channel mode: Press the Throttle Control stick vertically down and release again. You will hear 4 short beeps, indicating the X04 is now set to 4CH mode.

Gently pull the card away from the quadrocopter camera port. Always store your microSDHC card in a clean, safe, and cool environment.

Downloading and Clearing Space on Your microSDHC Card

Plug your microSDHC card into the card reader and connect it to your computer. It is recommended to download all videos and pictures to your computer and not store them on the microSDHC card. After downloading, follow your computer's instructions to "delete" files on the microSDHC card.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: When your microSDHC card is full, the indicator light on the bottom of your quadrocopter will not flash when you press the photograph or video record buttons. This indicates it's time to insert a new SD card or download and clear space for new photos and videos.

Replacing the Propeller Blade

The X04 propeller system is a precision instrument that may require repair or replacement for optimal flight. Crash landings from high-speed aerial flights can damage propellers.

  1. The X04 has four blades: two gray ones at the front and two black ones at the back (see Diagram L).
  2. When replacing blades, match the color and indication letter on the new blades with those shown in Diagram L.
  3. To replace a blade, gently pull off the broken blade and push the new correct blade into place.

Diagram L shows the front and rear blades with their corresponding letters (A, B).
