Printer Drive
The thermal series printer supports two methods of drive:
- Install the drive under WINDOWS: Add the printer in Windows and point to the driver document. Print commands can be sent from applications. This method transfers characters to be printed as dots.
- Serial / Parallel Drive Directly: This method bypasses the driver program, sending character output directly to the port. The printer's internal hardware handles character transformation. This changes the print mode from page print to row print for more convenient control. When using direct port drive, print commands must be used for control. The 80mm series printer integrates the ESC/POS command set.
