Important Safety Instructions

PERSONAL SAFETY IS VERY IMPORTANT. To reduce the risk of fire, explosion, electrical shock, or injury when using the ice maker, follow these basic safety precautions.

READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE ICE MAKER.

All safety messages will indicate the potential hazard, the way to avoid injury, and the consequences of failure to follow the instructions.

• DANGER – Risk of FIRE or EXPLOSION. Flammable refrigerant used. DO NOT use mechanical devices to defrost the Ice Maker. DO NOT puncture refrigerant tubing.
• CAUTION – Risk of FIRE or EXPLOSION. Flammable refrigerant used. CONSULT repair Manual/Owner's guide before attempting to install or service this product. All safety precautions must be followed.
• CAUTION – Risk of FIRE or EXPLOSION. Dispose of property in accordance with federal or local regulations. Flammable refrigerant used.

• Do not operate the ice maker, or any other appliance with a damaged cord. Connect to properly polarized outlets only. Do not plug other electrical appliances into the same outlet. Be sure that the plug is fully inserted into the plug socket.
• Do not run the power cord over carpeting or other heat insulators. Do not cover the cord. Keep the cord away from high traffic areas, and do not submerge it in water.
• Due to potential safety hazards under certain conditions, we strongly advise against the use of an extension cord. However, if you must use an extension cord, it is absolutely necessary that it is a No.14 AWG minimum size and rated no less than 1875 watts.
• Unplug the ice maker before cleaning or making any repairs or servicing.
• Exercise caution and use reasonable supervision when the ice maker is used near children.
• The ice maker must be properly installed and located following the installation instructions before it is used. The ice maker is for indoor household use only. Do not use outdoors. Place the ice maker away from direct sunlight and make sure that there is at least 6 inches of space between the back of your ice maker and wall. Keep a minimum distance of 6 inches on each side of your ice maker free.
• To avoid a hazard due to instability of the ice maker, it must be placed on an even or flat surface.
• Do not use other liquids to make the ice cubes other than water.
• Do not clean your ice maker with flammable fluids. The fumes can create a fire hazard or explosion.
• Do not tip over.
• If the ice maker is brought in from outside in the wintertime, give it a few hours to warm up to room temperature before plugging it in.
• Do not allow children to climb, stand, or hang on the ice maker. Serious injury may occur.
• Do not use water that is micro-biologically unsafe or of unknown quality.
• Do not place the power cord in such a way it could be pulled on by children or cause a tripping hazard.
• Do not place the power cord in such a way that it is in contact with hot surfaces.
• Do not operate if any component, including the cord or plug, is damaged.
• Unplug the ice maker before cleaning by hand and when not in use.
• Do not immerse any part of the ice maker in water.
• Do not plug or unplug the ice maker with wet hands.
• WARNING: The ice maker must be grounded.
• The ice maker should be installed in accordance with the safety standard for Refrigeration Systems, ASHRAE15. The ice maker shall not be installed in corridors or hallways of public buildings.
• To minimize the risk of possible ignition due to incorrect parts or improper service, only the factory-authorized service personnel are able to repair the ice maker. Do not attempt to disassemble, repair, modify, or replace any part of the ice maker.

Safety Information (For Grounding Instructions)

DANGER: Improper use of the grounded plug can result in the risk of electrical shock. If the power cord is damaged, please call customer service.

1. The ice maker must be properly grounded for your safety. It requires a standard 110–120 volt, 60Hz electrical outlet. Plug the three-prong plug of the ice maker into an exclusive, properly installed, grounded wall outlet. Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord. Any questions concerning power and/or grounding should be directed toward a certified electrician.
2. The power cord is equipped with a three-prong plug which mates with standard three-prong wall outlets (like Figure A) to minimize the possibility of electric shock.
3. If you do not have a three-slot grounded receptacle (like Figure B): Please buy a 2 to 3 prong converter (available at your local electronics store or online supplier for connecting 3-prong grounding-type plugs to 2-prong plug sockets).

IMPORTANT: The wires in the main lead are colored in accordance with the following code:

• Green or Green with a yellow stripe: Grounding
• White: Neutral
• Black: Live

Cleaning and Maintaining Your Ice Maker

Before First Use

Before using the ice maker, it is highly recommended to clean it thoroughly.

1. Remove the exterior and interior packaging. Check that the ice basket and ice scoop are included. If any parts are missing, please contact customer service.
2. Take out the ice basket and clean it with hot water, detergent, and a non-abrasive sponge.
3. Clean the interior with diluted detergent, warm water, and a soft cloth. Then use water to rinse the inside parts. Unplug the water drainage cap on the bottom of the ice maker to empty the water in the water tank. If you need to empty the water in the reservoir, plug in the power but do not turn it on, then unplug the water drainage cap to empty the water.
4. Wipe the outside of the ice maker with a mild detergent solution and warm water.
5. Dry the interior and exterior of the ice maker with a soft cloth.

After Long-Term Use

After using the ice maker for a long time, it is suggested to clean it. In particular, clean the water separator pipe and the water filters periodically.

Cleaning the Separator Pipe

If the compressor and water pump work normally, but there is little or no water running down from the separator pipe, please remove the separator pipe to check if it is blocked.

1. Press the [ON/OFF] button to turn off the ice maker.
2. Pinch the left end of the separator pipe and pry it out.
3. Clean each hole on the separator pipe.
4. Connect the separator pipe to the hose on the right side, then clip the left end of the separator pipe into the slot on the left side. Please make sure the holes point downwards.

How to Drain Out Water from the Water Tank and Water Reservoir Completely

Because the water in the water reservoir blocks the drain port by the draining plug, if you want to drain away all the water, please plug in the ice maker and do not turn it on, then remove the water draining cap at the bottom. Wait a few minutes for all the water to drain out.

Clean the Water Tank and the Water Reservoir

1. Clean them with diluted detergent, warm water, and a soft cloth.
2. Then use water to rinse the inside, and drain out the water. This will help keep the ice maker and ice cubes hygienic, and also make the ice maker work normally.

Please Note: When cleaning, if ice cubes are left on the evaporator and cannot be taken out easily, turn on the ice maker to enter the ice-making process, then press the [ON/OFF] button for more than 5 seconds to start the ice harvest process to melt the ice cubes. This will help remove hard ice cubes.

Storage

1. The outside of the ice maker should be cleaned regularly with a mild detergent solution and warm water.
2. When the ice maker is not in use for a long time, drain out the water.

Using Your Ice Maker

Preparing for Use

1. Find a location for the ice maker that is protected from direct sunlight and other sources of heat (e.g., stove, furnace, radiator). Place the ice maker on a leveled surface. Ensure there is at least 6 inches of space between the back and sides of your ice maker and the wall.
2. The ice maker must be positioned so that the plug is accessible.
3. Allow one hour for the refrigerant fluid to settle before plugging the ice maker in.

WARNING: Fill with drinkable water only.

• Check and clean the water tank, reservoir, filter screen, and separator pipe regularly to ensure they are not blocked by any impurities.
• The ice-making capacity depends on the water temperature. The colder the water, the more ice is produced.
• The ice-making capacity depends on the ambient temperature where the ice maker is placed. The colder the ambient temperature, the more ice is produced.
• The quality of the water used will affect the working life of the circulating pump. It is best to use pure water or distilled water. Some abnormal sounds in the pump working process are caused by impurities in the water, which is a normal phenomenon and does not affect the use of the ice maker.
• There will be a delay of 3 minutes when the compressor restarts during the working process.

Ice Making Operation

1. Remove Cover And Pour Into Water
   Remove the cover of the water reservoir and pour drinkable water into the water reservoir. Ensure the water level is below the max. level with the [FULL MARK] displayed.

   Warning: Do not pour water into the water tank located underneath the ice basket, as this will affect the ice-making performance.

2. Turn On The Ice Maker
   • Plug in the ice maker. The [POWER] symbol will start to flash, and the ambient temperature will display at the top left corner of the screen window (e.g., <80> digits means 80°F ambient).
   • Press the [ON/OFF] button to turn on the ice maker. Water will flow into the water tank to the standard water level, then the compressor will start to make ice cubes. The screen window will display as follows: The [POWER] symbol turns into an always-on state; the [ICE CUBE] symbol turns into a rotating state; the ambient temperature display will disappear.
   • After some minutes of ice-making, the ambient temperature display area will show flashing digits (e.g., <10'> means it will take 10 minutes to complete this ice-making process).
   • When the ice maker harvests, the [ICE CUBE] symbol flashes. After harvesting, it automatically goes into the next ice-making process. Water flows from the water reservoir to the water tank through the solenoid valve, and the [WATER LEVEL] symbol will be on. The [WATER LEVEL] symbol will be off if the water in the water tank is full, and the next ice-making cycle starts.

   Please Note:

   • When there is no water in the water reservoir, the [LOW WATER] symbol will stay on. Press the [ON/OFF] button to turn off the ice maker and fill water again, then press [ON/OFF] again to turn on to make ice cubes. Alternatively, fill water directly and wait 20 minutes; the ice maker will restart by itself.
   • Each ice-making cycle lasts about 13 to 25 minutes, depending on the ambient and water temperature. For the first use, it takes more time for initial water temperature. In extremely hot room temperatures, it takes more time, but will be within 35 minutes to make ice cubes.
   • When the [ICE FULL] symbol lights on, the ice maker will turn off by itself. It will turn on by itself if you remove the ice cubes from the water tank.
3. How To Set The Thickness Of The Ice Cubes
   Press the [+] or [-] buttons to set the time of the ice-making process. The more time it takes, the thicker the ice cubes produced. Adjustments are made in 1-minute increments for each press of the [+] or [-] buttons.

   Please Note:

   • You can increase the time up to 6 minutes.
   • This can only start from a new ice-making cycle.
   • If you restart the ice maker, it reverts to the default setting of 0. You need to re-set the ice-making time.
4. How To Harvest The Ice Cubes During The Ice-making Process
   Long press the [ON/OFF] button for more than 5 seconds while the ice maker is working; the unit will start to harvest. Press the [ON/OFF] button again to turn off the ice maker.
5. How To Use The Self-cleaning Function
   Start the self-cleaning program: Plug in the unit and press the [TIMER/CLEAN] button for more than 5 seconds to enter the self-cleaning program, which takes 20 minutes. The [CLEANING] symbol rotates on the screen window, and the countdown area at the top left displays 20M.
   Cancel the self-cleaning program: It takes about 20 minutes to complete one self-cleaning program. When the program is over, the system will be in an off-state automatically. You can also press the [ON/OFF] button to cancel the self-cleaning program by force.
6. How To Set The Timer
   • Press the "TIMER" button, and the display will show <01>.
   • Then press the [+] and [-] buttons to set the time. There is a 1-hour adjustment for each press of the [+] or [-] buttons. During the setting, the <H> is flashing. The <H> will remain on after 5 seconds, indicating setup is complete.

   Please Note:

   • If the lower left corner displays 5H in standby state, it means the ice maker will automatically turn on after 5 hours.
   • If the lower left corner displays 5H in the ice-making process, it means the ice maker will automatically turn off after 5 hours.
   • The "H" on the display indicates that the ice maker is in the timing function. The digits will decrease. When it reaches 0, the ice maker cancels the timing function.
   • When the ice maker is in timing function, the screen window will show the ice-making time and timing time, switching every 5 seconds.
7. How To Cancel The Timer
   • When the ice maker is in the timing function (xx H on the screen), press the "Timer" button. Both digits and "H" on the screen will turn off, meaning the timing function is canceled.
   • You can also directly press the [ON/OFF] button on the screen to forcibly turn off the timing startup function and the ice-making process.
8. How To Drain Out The Water
   1. Plug in the power.
   2. Unplug the draining plug at the bottom of the ice maker but do not turn it on.
   3. After drainage is completed, reset the drainage plug.

   Please Note: You can empty the water in the water tank by unplugging the water draining cap at the bottom of the ice maker. If you need to empty the water in the reservoir, plug in the power but do not turn it on, then unplug the water drainage cap to empty the water.
