IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, follow these basic precautions:
- Read all instructions before using the washer.
- Do not wash articles cleaned with gasoline, dry-cleaning solvents, or other flammable/explosive substances, as their vapors can ignite or explode.
- Do not add flammable or explosive substances to the wash water.
- If the hot water system has not been used for 2+ weeks, turn on hot water faucets for several minutes to release accumulated hydrogen gas (which is explosive). Do not smoke or use open flame during this time.
- Do not allow children to play on or in the appliance. Ensure close supervision of children.
- Before discarding the washer, remove the door or lid.
- Do not reach into the washer if the drum, tub, or agitator is moving.
- Do not install or store the washer where it will be exposed to the weather or temperatures at or below 32°F (0°C).
- Do not tamper with controls.
- Do not repair or replace parts unless specifically recommended in this manual and you have the skills.
- See "Electrical Requirements" for grounding instructions.
- WARNING: Do not wash water-resistant or water-repellent clothing, as this may cause abnormal vibration, out-of-balance conditions, injury, or damage.
FOR YOUR SAFETY: Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids nearby.

Location Requirements
Selecting the proper location improves performance and minimizes noise and washer "walk." The washer can be installed in a basement, laundry room, or recessed area. Consider companion appliance location requirements.
IMPORTANT: Do not install or store the washer where it will be exposed to the weather or temperatures at or below 32°F (0°C). Proper installation is your responsibility.
You will need:
- Water heater set to 120°F (49°C).
- Grounded electrical outlet within 4 ft (1.2 m) of the power cord.
- Hot and cold water faucets within 4 ft (1.2 m) of fill valves, with water pressure of 20-100 psi (138-690 kPa). Use a pressure reduction valve if inlet pressure exceeds 100 psi.
- For single washer installations, risers of at least 12" (300 mm) for air cushion and noise/valve protection.
- A level floor with a maximum slope of 1" (25 mm). Installing on carpet is not recommended.
- Floor must support washer's total weight (with water and load) of 315 lbs (143 kg).
Recessed Area or Closet Installation
The washer can be installed in a recessed area or closet. The dimensions shown are minimum spaces. Additional spacing is recommended for installation and servicing. Consider spacing for companion appliances.
Minimum installation spacing:
- Clearance from back: 5" (127 mm)
- Clearance from sides: 1" (25 mm)
- Clearance from front: 3" (76 mm)
- Top clearance (for access): 24 in² (155 cm²) or 48 in² (310 cm²) depending on model/access.
- Maximum depth of adjacent cabinet: 14" (356 mm)
- Maximum width of adjacent cabinet: 16" (406 mm)
Installation Instructions
WARNING: Excessive Weight Hazard. Use two or more people to move and install.
It is necessary to remove all shipping materials for proper operation and to avoid excessive noise.
- Move washer to within 4 ft (1.2 m) of its final location, in a fully upright position. Use cardboard to avoid floor damage and tape the lid shut.
- Place cardboard supports behind the washer, tip it back, and place on supports. Remove shipping base. Set washer upright. IMPORTANT: Removing shipping base is necessary for proper operation. Keep shipping base for future moves.
- Remove tape from lid, open lid, and remove cardboard packing tray from tub. Ensure all parts are removed. Keep tray for future moves.
Level Washer
IMPORTANT: Level washer properly to reduce excess noise and vibration.
WARNING: Excessive Weight Hazard. Use two or more people.
- Move washer to final location. Place a level on top edges. Use side seam for side levelness, lid for front levelness. Rock washer to ensure all four feet contact the floor.
- Use a 9/16" or 14 mm wrench to turn jam nuts clockwise on feet until about 1/2" (13 mm) from cabinet. Turn leveling foot clockwise to lower, counterclockwise to raise. Recheck level and repeat. HELPFUL TIP: Prop up front of washer about 4" (102 mm) with a wood block.
- When level, use wrench to turn jam nuts counterclockwise to tighten them against the cabinet.
Connect Drain Hose
Proper routing avoids floor damage from water leakage.
Remove drain hose from washer drum:
- Remove cap from washer drain port.
- If clamp is not on elbow end of drain hose, slide it over the end.
- Squeeze clamp with pliers and slide elbow end onto washer drain port, secure with clamp.
IMPORTANT: Drain hose should not exceed 8" (203 mm) into drain pipe. Do not force excess hose or lay it in the bottom of the laundry tub. Use the drain hose form. The installer is responsible for securing the drain hose to prevent leaks or dislodgement.
Drain System
The drain system can be installed using a floor drain, wall standpipe, floor standpipe, or laundry tub.
4a. Floor drain system:
For floor drain installations, remove the U-form from the drain hose. Requires Siphon Break Kit (Part Number 285320). Minimum siphon break: 28" (710 mm) from washer bottom. Additional hoses may be needed.
4b. Wall standpipe drain system:
See requirements for floor standpipe drain system.
4c. Floor standpipe drain system:
- Minimum diameter: 2" (51 mm).
- Minimum carry-away capacity: 10 gallons (38 L) per minute.
- Top of standpipe must be at least 39" (990 mm) high; install no higher than 96" (2.44 m) from washer bottom.
4d. Laundry tub drain system:
- Minimum capacity: 20 gallons (76 L).
- Top of laundry tub must be at least 39" (990 mm) above floor.
Connect Inlet Hoses
Insert new hose washers into each end of the inlet hoses. Seat washers firmly.
Connect Inlet Hoses to Washer:
- Attach cold water hose to cold water inlet valve (blue ring). Hand-tighten coupling.
- Attach hot water hose to hot water inlet valve (red ring). Hand-tighten coupling.
- Use pliers to tighten couplings an additional two-thirds turn.
Connect Inlet Hoses to Water Faucets:
- Attach hose to hot water faucet. Screw coupling until seated. Repeat for cold water.
- Use pliers to tighten couplings an additional two-thirds turn. NOTE: Do not overtighten; damage to the valve can result.
Secure drain hose to inlet hose with zip strap.
Clear Water Lines:
- Run water through faucets and hoses into a laundry tub, drainpipe, or bucket to remove particles that might clog inlet valve screens.
- Check water temperature to ensure hot water hose is connected to hot water faucet and cold water hose to cold water faucet.
NOTE: Replace inlet hoses after 5 years of use. Periodically inspect hoses for bulges, kinks, cuts, wear, or leaks.
Electrical Requirements
WARNING: Electrical Shock Hazard. Use a grounded 3-prong outlet. Do not remove ground prong. Do not use an adapter or extension cord.
- A 120 V, 60 Hz AC only, 15 A fused electrical supply is required. A time-delay fuse or circuit breaker is recommended. A separate circuit breaker serving only this appliance is recommended.
- The washer has a 3-prong grounding plug. Plug into a mating, 3-prong, grounding-type outlet, grounded per local codes. If a mating outlet is not available, a qualified electrician must install one.
- If codes permit a separate ground wire, a qualified electrician should verify the ground path.
- Do not ground to a gas pipe.
- Consult a qualified electrician if unsure about grounding.
- Do not have a fuse in the neutral or ground circuit.
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
For a grounded, cord-connected washer: This washer must be grounded to reduce electrical shock risk. The plug must be connected to a properly installed and grounded outlet.
WARNING: Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician if in doubt.
Do not modify the plug; have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician if it won't fit.
For a permanently connected washer: Connect to a grounded metal, permanent wiring system, or run an equipment grounding conductor with circuit conductors.
Complete Installation
WARNING: Electrical Shock Hazard. Use a grounded 3-prong outlet.
Follow these instructions to complete installation:
- Check electrical requirements and grounding method.
- Verify all parts are installed.
- Verify all tools are present.
- Verify shipping materials are completely removed.
- Dispose of/recycle packaging materials.
- Check that water faucets are on.
- Check for leaks around faucets and inlet hoses.
- Remove console film and any tape.
- Plug into a grounded outlet or connect power.
- Check that circuit breaker is not tripped or fuse is not blown.
- Start washer using the payment system (if applicable) to check for error codes or water leaks.

The Normal cycle is recommended for normally soiled cotton or linen clothes. Energy certifications were based on the Normal Eco cycle with Auto Spin, Auto Soil Level, and all Wash Temperature selections. The washer was tested as an Adaptive Automatic Water Fill Control System washer. Default settings are Normal cycle, Warm Wash Temp, Auto Water Level, and Spin Speed.
Washer Maintenance
Operating Tips
WARNING: Fire Hazard. Never place items dampened with gasoline or other flammable fluids in the washer. No washer can completely remove oil. Do not dry items that have ever had any type of oil on them (including cooking oils). Doing so can result in death, explosion, or fire.
It is recommended that fiberglass items not be washed in coin-operated washers. If washed, run a complete cycle to rinse any residue.
Transporting Your Washer
- Shut off both water faucets. Disconnect and drain water inlet hoses.
- Disconnect drain hose and drain any remaining water.
- Unplug power cord.
- Place inlet hoses and drain hose inside washer basket. Drape power cord over edge into basket.
- Place original shipping materials back inside washer. Use shipping base to support motor and tub. If no original packaging, use heavy blankets/towels. Close lid and tape shut. Keep taped until moved.

Basic Operation of Commercial Washer

WARNING: Electrical Shock Hazard. Disconnect power before servicing. Replace all parts and panels before operating. Failure to do so can result in death or electrical shock.
IMPORTANT: Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Sensitive Electronics
ESD problems are present everywhere and can damage or weaken electronic controls. Use an anti-static wrist strap connected to a ground point, or touch a ground point repeatedly before handling parts. Avoid touching electronic parts or contacts; handle by edges only. When repackaging, use anti-static bags.
General Information
- Blank Display: Check power. Enter Service Mode for Fault Code.
- '0 Minutes' showing in display: Indicates previous cycle is complete or machine was reset. Opening the lid restores display to Vend Price or Available state.
Factory Default Settings:
The washer is programmed at the factory with default settings for cycles like HEAVY DUTY, MIXED, DELICATES, and NORMAL ECO, including water temperature, rinse options, and coin pricing. Refer to the Program Menu for details.
Warm Start (after power failure)
After a delay (up to 8 seconds), the washer resumes the cycle from where it left off. Press START to continue.
Free Cycles
This is set by programming the cycle price to zero. 'SELECT CYCLE' will appear, and the price will show '0.00'.
Display
After installation and plugging in, the display shows 'SYnC', then '0 MINUTES'. After plugging in and opening/closing the door, the price is shown. For free cycles, 'SELECT CYCLE' flashes and 'PRICE 0.00' is displayed.
Control Set-Up Procedures
IMPORTANT: Read all instructions before operating. Use lower fabric setting keypads and the digital display to set up controls. The display shows set-up codes and their values.
How to use the keypads to program the controls:
- HEAVY DUTY keypad: Increments set-up code values. Holding it down allows rapid adjustment.
- MIXED keypad: Advances through set-up codes. Holding it down advances one code per second.
- DELICATES keypad: Selects or deselects options.
- TEMPERATURE keypad: Decreases set-up code value.
Start Operating Set-Up
COIN Models: Insert access door key, turn, and lift to remove access door. The washer is now in set-up mode.
An owner can simply uncrate, hook up, plug in, and operate the washer without changing settings.
Set-Up Codes:
Codes are indicated by characters on the left (code) and right (value). Codes marked with * can be transferred via USB stick.
Examples of Codes:
- 6.07 MIXED: Amount to Start for MIXED Cycle*. Adjustable 0-200.
- 6.07 DELICATES: Amount to Start for DELICATES Cycle*. Adjustable 0-200.
- 6.09 HEAVY DUTY: Amount to Start for HEAVY DUTY Cycle*. Adjustable 0-200.
- 6.07 NORMAL ECO: Amount to Start for NORMAL ECO Cycle*. Adjustable 0-200.
- 2.00: Screen to enter Help Mode Sub-Menu.
Controls Set-Up Through USB:
Access USB setup menu via code 2.xx. Use HEAVY DUTY keypad for help mode, MIXED to advance, DELICATES to select. See Page 12 for USB port location and instructions.
USB Menu:
Allows software updates and import/export of machine settings.
USB Status Codes:
- U0.00: USB drive detected? (No detection shown).
- U0.01: USB drive detected.
- U1.00/U1.01: Programming Mode (detected/not detected).
- U2.00/U2.01: Export Machine Settings to USB (detected/not detected).
- U3.00/U3.01: Import Machine Settings from USB (detected/not detected).
- U4.00/U4.01: Export Machine Audit Data to USB (detected/not detected).
- donE: Operation completed successfully.
- FCE4 or FCE5: Operation failed.
Exit from Set-Up Mode:
COIN Models: Reinstall access door. If a service cycle is in progress, it will complete normally.
Access to USB Port
Access the USB port to change electronic control settings.
WARNING: Electrical Shock Hazard. Disconnect power before servicing. Replace parts and panels before operating. Failure to do so can result in death or electrical shock.
To Install or Remove a USB Stick:
The USB port is on the Display Control Board.
- Remove two screws to allow the fascia panel to pivot outward.
- Lay fascia panel face down on the appliance top panel to access the User Interface Control Board.
- Install the USB stick into the USB port or remove it.
- Replace the fascia panel with the two screws.
- Plug the appliance into a grounded 3-prong outlet or reconnect power.
