Installation Guide
Preparation
Connecting Hoses: Connect your hoses to the 'IN' and 'OUT' ports as shown. All connections with a maximum diameter of 18mm are compatible.
Fill Port: The fill port can be used for refilling if necessary. Screw in the screw cap using the enclosed tool.
CPU Preparation
After dismantling your old cooler, clean the hardware first:
- Remove residues of the thermal paste from the CPU.
- Use a cloth or cotton swab to assist. Isopropanol alcohol can also be used to remove dried heat-conducting paste.
- Apply a pea-sized blob of thermal paste to the CPU.
- Spread the paste with the aid of a plastic strip or similar tool to form an even, thin layer (less than 0.5mm thickness).
Mounting Procedures
⚠️ Do not use tools, only tighten up hand-tight!
LGA 2066 Mounting:
- Select the appropriate bracket and attach it.
- The LGA 2066 screws are passed through the pressure springs, washers, and the holder. Then, everything is mounted onto the socket.
LGA 1700 Mounting:
- Select the appropriate bracket and attach it.
- Remove the protective film from the backplate.
- Fix the backplate to the back of the mainboard using the adhesive tape. The LGA 1700 screws are inserted through the pressure springs, washers, and the holder. Then, everything is mounted onto the socket.
LGA 115x / 1200 Mounting:
- Select the appropriate bracket and attach it.
- Remove the protective film from the backplate.
- Fix the backplate to the back of the mainboard using the adhesive tape. The LGA 115x / 1200 screws are inserted through the pressure springs, washers, and the holder. Then, everything is mounted onto the socket.
AM4 / AM5 Mounting:
- Select the appropriate bracket and attach it.
- The AM4 / AM5 screws are passed through the pressure springs, washers, and the holder. Then, everything is mounted onto the socket.
Connections
Pump Connection
Plug the 3-pin connector into a free fan connector on your mainboard.
Note: If you are using a 3-pin fan connector, ensure the voltage is set to 12V in the BIOS. This is not necessary for PWM connections.
Illuminated Logo Activation (Eisbaer Solo Series)
The cooler features an illuminated logo. To activate it, plug the 3-pin connector into a free fan connector on your mainboard.
Digital RGB Lighting
To control the digital RGB lighting:
- Connect the included adapter to the 3-pin female connector.
- Plug this into a digital RGB controller (e.g., Alphacool Aurora Eiscontrol, Art. 15360, not included).
- Additional digital RGB LEDs can be connected to the remaining 3-pin male connector.
- Then, plug the 3-pin pump connector into a free fan connector on your mainboard.
This procedure applies to both Eisbaer Aurora (Solo) and Eisbaer Aurora LT (Solo) series.
