Important Safety Instructions

Always follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury:

Warning: Strangulation Hazard - Keep cords out of reach of children.

Getting Started

1. Connect the Baby Monitor

Plug the power adapters into the baby unit and parent unit, and then into wall outlets.

2. Power On/Off the Baby Monitor

3. Positioning the Baby Monitor

Place the baby unit in a convenient location, such as on a shelf or table. Adjust the camera angle for the best view of your baby. For optimal viewing, ensure the baby unit is at least 3 feet (1 meter) away from the parent unit.

4. Status Check

Once both units are powered on, the parent unit should display an image from the baby unit, and the LINK LED light should turn on.

Basic Operation - Parent Unit

Adjusting Volume

Press VOL+ / VOL- to adjust the parent unit speaker volume.

Talk to Your Baby

Press and hold the TALK button and speak into the parent unit. Release TALK when done speaking.

Turning Off the Screen

Press POWER/LCD OFF to turn off the screen. Sound will still be heard. Press any key to turn the screen back on.

Using the Menu

Press MENU to access settings and features:

Night Vision

The baby unit has infrared LEDs that automatically turn on in low light conditions, allowing you to see your baby clearly in the dark. Images will appear in black and white.

Sound Sensitivity and Sound Activation

VOX (Voice Activated Alert): This feature allows the parent unit to alert you only when sounds exceeding a certain level are detected by the baby unit. You can adjust the sensitivity level.

Sound-activated screen: When enabled, the parent unit screen turns off when no sound is detected and turns on automatically when sound is detected.

For VM819-2 Only

Patrol Mode

Monitor your baby in PATROL mode, where the screen cycles through videos from all linked baby unit cameras.

Mounting the Baby Unit on Dry Wall (Optional)

Follow these steps to mount the baby unit on a wall:

  1. Mark two parallel holes on the wall, ensuring they match the spacing of the baby unit's wall mount holes.
  2. Drill the holes (use a 7/23 inch drill bit). If drilling into a stud, proceed to step 4. If not, insert wall anchors.
  3. Insert screws into the holes, leaving about 1/4 inch exposed.
  4. Align the baby unit's wall mount holes with the screws and slide the unit down to lock it in place.

Note: Ensure you use appropriate screws and anchors for your wall type.
