Instrument Set-up and Introduction
⚠️ The safety instructions and the user manual should be read through carefully before the product is used for the first time.
The person responsible for the product must ensure that all users understand these directions and adhere to them.
Device Operation Basics
The STABILA LD 250 BT features a display showing measurements, typically in meters (m). Key controls include:
1. Power/Measure Button: Initiates measurement or turns the device on/off.
2. Function Button (FUNC): Used to cycle through functions like Area, Volume, and Unit selection.
3. Bluetooth Button: Activates or deactivates the Bluetooth connection.
4. Clear/Off Button: Clears the current measurement or turns the device off.
Basic Operations and Setup
Battery Installation: The device requires 2 x AAA batteries. Ensure correct polarity when inserting.
Unit Selection: Press and hold the FUNC button for 2 seconds to change the measurement unit (e.g., meters, feet, inches). The display shows formats like 0.000 m, 0'00"1/16, or 0 in 1/16.
Beep ON/OFF: Press FUNC and the Bluetooth button simultaneously for 2 seconds to toggle audible beeps.
Power Off: Press and hold the Clear/Off button (circular arrow icon) for 2 seconds to turn the device off.
Bluetooth ON/OFF: Press and hold the Bluetooth button for 2 seconds to enable or disable Bluetooth connectivity.
Measurement Scenarios: The device can measure distances from walls or corners. Diagrams illustrate measurements taken from two points in a corner (labeled 1 and 2) and three points along a wall (labeled 1, 2, and 3).
Example Measurements: A distance of 8.532 m is shown being measured from a wall. Another diagram suggests a potential area measurement of 18.462 m².
Connectivity: The device can connect wirelessly via Bluetooth to devices like laptops and smartphones.
