Installation
Installation Precautions
- The mounting wall must withstand at least four times the appliance's total mass when filled with water. Reinforce if necessary.
- Install close to water points to minimize heat loss from pipes.
- Ensure adequate space around the appliance for future maintenance.
- If installed above the ceiling, a movable plate and maintenance window are required for removal and installation.
- Safety drainage measures, such as floor drains, must be in place to prevent leakage damage.
- Install indoors where the temperature is above 0°C to prevent pipe freezing.
- Keep flammable or explosive objects away from the installation area.
- Do not reverse inlet/outlet pipe connections. Use sealing gaskets and ensure appropriate rotation force during installation.
- Install a safety valve (pressure relief device) at the inlet. The drain pipe must be unobstructed and open to the atmosphere.
- Use only supplied accessories.
- Power sockets must be reliably grounded and not installed in damp or wet locations.
- Installation must be performed by professional personnel.
Methods of Installation
Equipment Installation
1. Determine the installation position. Drill two holes horizontally in the wall, spaced 62mm apart with a 10mm diameter (depth not less than 90mm). Insert two plastic expansion tubes into the holes and secure the mounting plate with fastening screws.
2. Align the appliance's rear hanging holes with the mounting plate hooks and pull down firmly to hang the appliance.
Tube Connection
The inlet/outlet water interface is G1/2. Connect pipes as follows:
1. Connect the gasketed safety valve to the appliance's inlet port, with the arrow pointing in the direction of flow.
2. Insert the drain pipe into the bottom of the safety valve outlet. Direct the other end downwards to a safe drain (e.g., floor drain). Ensure the drain pipe is unobstructed. The safety valve outlet must be connected to the atmosphere.
3. If the water inlet pressure exceeds 0.55 MPa, an additional safety valve must be installed on the water inlet pipe.
Multiple Outlet Connection
Refer to the drawing for connecting a multi-pipe supply system.
The diagram shows the connection of the safety valve, inlet valve, drain handle, and power socket, along with a reference for piping and electrical connections.
Test Run
1. After installation, open all pipeline valves, then open the hot water tap. Fill the appliance with water and close the hot water tap. Check for leaks and reconnect pipes if necessary.
2. Unscrew the stop screw on the safety valve handle, pull the handle, and check for smooth water discharge (continuous water outlet is normal).
3. Confirm normal operation, switch on power, and operate according to the manual. Power off and disconnect when all is well.
Operation
Water Injection
For first-time use or after prolonged interruption, inject water. Open all pipeline valves, then open the hot water tap. Continuous water flow indicates the appliance is full. Close the hot water tap. Keep the cold water valve open to ensure automatic refilling. Ensure the appliance remains full of water.
Connecting Power
Insert the power plug into a reliable grounded electrical outlet. The power indicator will light up. Adjust the temperature control knob as described below.
Temperature Adjustment
Turn the temperature control knob clockwise to increase the set temperature and counter-clockwise to decrease it. The temperature adjustment range is approximately 30°C to 75°C.
After adjusting the temperature, the water heater operates automatically, and the heating indicator lights up.
When the water temperature reaches the set temperature, power is automatically cut off, and the heating indicator stays lit, indicating heat preservation mode.
When the water temperature drops, heating resumes automatically, and the indicator lights up.
Setting the knob to "OFF" stops the water heater's operation.
The control knob is circular with settings labeled "OFF", "LOW", and "HIGH".
Troubleshooting Common Faults
Identifying and Resolving Common Faults
If the water heater malfunctions during normal use, immediately cut off power and check the following:
Faults | Reasons | Solutions |
---|---|---|
No water flow | 1. Check water supply. 2. Inlet/outlet valves closed. 3. Pipes are blocked. | 1. Check water supply. 2. Open inlet/outlet valves. 3. Clean pipes. |
No hot water flow | 1. Excess cold water mix. 2. Low temperature setting. 3. Insufficient heating time. 4. Internal circuit break. | 1. Adjust mixer valve. 2. Reset temperature. 3. Continue heating. 4. Maintenance. |
Water flow is hot and cold | External water pressure is unstable. | Wait for water pressure to normalize. |
Water drips from safety valve outlet | Normal. | Connect the drain pipe to a safe drain. |
Water continuously drips from safety valve outlet | Water pressure is too high. | Install a pressure-limiting valve on the inlet pipe. |
Wiring Diagram
The wiring diagram illustrates connections for the power plug (with color codes for Live, Neutral, and Ground), thermal cut-out, thermostat, heating indicator light, power light, inlet pipe (blue), outlet pipe (red), and fastening screw.
Daily Maintenance
Cleaning
Use a dry or damp cloth dipped in a little neutral cleaner to wipe the water heater surface. Do not use gasoline, solvents, or spray water.
Descaling
Based on local water quality, descale periodically (e.g., monthly). Turn off the heater, close the inlet valve, disconnect pipes, and empty the inner tank. Reinstall connections after descaling.
Draining
For long-term outage or maintenance: cut power, close inlet valve, disconnect pipes, and empty the tank by turning it upside down. Refill the inner tank with water before reconnecting the power supply.
Replace Magnesium Anode
The magnesium anode prevents inner tank corrosion and is a consumable part. Check it annually. If it is depleted, replace it immediately with the same specifications to ensure the water heater's service life.
Precautions for Maintenance
- Pull out the power plug before performing any maintenance.
- Disassembly, maintenance, or modification by non-professional personnel is strictly forbidden.
- Periodically test the safety valve to ensure it is not blocked by calcium carbonate sediment. Repair if blocked.
- Drainage water temperature should be below 40°C to avoid scalding.
Warnings and Cautions
Warnings
- The pressure relief temperature of the safety valve may cause scalding.
- Scalding may occur if the temperature is set above 50°C. Mix with cold water before use.
- The appliance uses a 220-240V~/50Hz power supply. Do not pull or plug the power plug with wet hands.
- Do not close the water inlet valve or turn on the power supply when the appliance is not filled with water, to avoid damaging the appliance.
- The safe service life is 8 years. Continued use after this period may cause fire or injury due to quality deterioration.
- Do not allow children to operate the appliance to avoid accidental injury.
Cautions
- Confirm the actual water temperature before use to avoid temperatures that are too low or too high.
- Turn the thermostat to the lowest temperature before unplugging the power plug.
- Periodically pull the safety valve handle to check if the relief valve drain is unblocked. If not, please contact the technical service.
- In cold areas, if the appliance is not used for a long time in winter, the water should be emptied to prevent the appliance from freezing and damage.
- When the appliance is installed under the sink, frequently check if the sink is leaking to avoid danger to the appliance.
Warranty Certificate
Presentation of the purchase invoice accompanied by this guarantee certificate is essential.
Covered Risks
This appliance is guaranteed against any malfunction, provided it is intended for domestic use and repaired within the warranty period by the authorized SAT network.
Corberó appliances have a 36-month legal warranty from January 1, 2022, covering any breakdown or defect due to faulty components or manufacturing.
