Cooking
The Instant Vortex Plus VersaZone airfryer uses EvenCrisp™ technology with rapid air circulation to crisp or cook food, giving your meals all the rich, crispy flavors of deep frying, but with little or no oil.
⚠️ WARNING: HOT SURFACES The airfryer will be hot during and after cooking. Always exercise extreme caution when removing food from the hot cooking chamber. Touching hot surfaces may result in personal injury and/or property damage.
⚠️ AIRFLOW MUST BE POSSIBLE To avoid personal injury and/or property damage, do not block the air intake or air vents.
What to Cook In
The airfryer basket with rack is perforated, allowing air to flow under and around food, and should be used for most foods, such as hot wings and cauliflower bites. You can place food directly on the rack without using foil or other covering material.
Only for the bake program can you use a metal or glass baking dish for, for example, cake batter and bread dough. Place the baking dish inside the airfryer basket for baking.
Introduction to Zone Cooking
The Instant Vortex Plus VersaZone™ Airfryer allows you to choose how and how much you want to cook using different cooking zones.
- Single Zone: Allows you to cook food in the large 8.5 L zone, ideal for, for example, a whole chicken or a family-sized portion of fries. The Vortex Plus VersaZone airfryer defaults to Single Zone cooking. See the guide on switching between Single Zone and Dual Zone below.
- Dual Zone: Allows you to cook two foods in two zones in three different ways:
- 1. Use both zones with different smart programs: Cook in both zones simultaneously with different programs and settings.
- 2. SyncCook: Cook in both zones simultaneously with the same program and settings for both zones.
- 3. SyncFinish: Cook in both zones simultaneously with different programs and settings for each zone, but finish cooking at the same time.
