Recommendation: We recommend using the wireless dongle extender when using the keyboard in 2.4GHz mode.
Note: Only use the wireless dongle extender for the wireless dongle.
Connecting Your Gaming Keyboard
Using the Bundled Cable
Connect the bundled USB Type-C™ to Type-A cable to your gaming keyboard and a USB port on your computer.
Using RF Wireless Mode
- Connect the USB dongle to a USB port on your computer.
- Set the connection switch to the RF 2.4G Wireless mode.
Pairing Bluetooth Mode (First Time)
Set the connection switch to the Bluetooth mode.
Pairing Bluetooth Mode to Additional Host Devices (max. 3)
- Set the connection switch to the Bluetooth mode.
- Press and hold the FN + 7 for 3 seconds until the RGB indicator on your gaming keyboard starts to blink blue. Once successfully paired, the RGB indicator will light up blue for 3 seconds.
Updating the Firmware and Customization
- Download and install the Armoury Crate software from https://rog.asus.com.
- Follow the software instructions to update your gaming keyboard firmware.
- Customize your gaming keyboard using Armoury Crate.
Battery Status
When battery power is below 20% in wireless mode, the RGB indicator on your gaming keyboard will turn red (blinking) and the LEDs for all other keys will switch off.
You may charge your gaming keyboard by using the bundled USB cable.
Note: When charging the wireless gaming keyboard, the power output may vary according to the USB port you connect your gaming keyboard to.
Key Combinations

Stealth Mode | Fn + F12 | Minimize all active windows and mute the system, or maximize all minimized windows and unmute the system. |
On-the-fly Macro Recording | Fn + Left-ALT (start/end) | Press Fn + Left-ALT to start recording. Press Fn + Left-ALT again to end recording. Assign Macro Key. |
Profile Switch | Fn + 1/2/3/4/5/6* (*6 is default) | Switch between profiles. |
Light Effect Switch | Fn + Right Arrow / Fn + Left Arrow | Switch lighting effects. |
Brightness Level | Fn + Up Arrow / Fn + Down Arrow | Increase or decrease brightness. |
Factory Default | Fn + Esc (Hold) | Hold these two buttons until the LEDs blink green to reset to factory defaults. |
Note: When running AURA SYNC, the hot key related to lighting effects will be disabled (e.g., Profile switch, Lighting effects switch, Brightness level).
Switching Between Different Paired Host Devices
- Press Fn + 8/9/0 to switch to BLE paired device 1/2/3 respectively.
Note: The key that remains lit up in white can be turned off in Armoury Crate.
Safety Guidelines
- Keep the device away from liquid, humidity, or moisture.
- Operate the device only within the specific temperature range of 0°C (32°F) to 40°C (104°F).
- When the device exceeds the maximum temperature, unplug or switch off the device to let it cool down.
