7.1 Before First Use
CAUTION! The iron may emit smoke during the first use. This is normal and does not indicate damage. Ensure the iron is used in a well-ventilated area. The smoke should stop after a short while. If smoke persists, unplug the iron immediately.
7.2 Filling the Water Tank
CAUTION!
- Do not place any objects in the water reservoir.
- Do not add water while ironing or when the iron is hot.
- The device can be filled with tap water. However, if your local water is hard, using distilled or demineralised water is recommended.
- Ensure the iron is unplugged from the mains.
- Open the water inlet cover on the front of the iron.
- Fill the water reservoir using the included measuring cup, not exceeding the maximum level indicated on the side of the iron.
- Close the water inlet cover.
7.3 Placing the Iron on the Base / Removing the Iron from the Base
- Ensure the device is switched off (temperature control knob set to OFF) and unplugged.
- To detach the iron from its base, move the base release lock towards the unlocked padlock icon (?) and lift the iron off the base.
- To reattach the iron to its base, ensure the base attachment/release lock is in the unlocked padlock position (?), then place the iron on the base.
- Next, move the base lock towards the locked padlock icon (?) to secure the iron to its base.
- Once the iron is attached and locked to the recharging base, connect the iron to the power outlet and set the temperature control knob to the desired heating position.
CAUTION! When removed from the base, the iron will gradually cool down. A cordless iron can only retain heat; it cannot generate heat when off the base as it has no internal power source (like batteries).
7.4 Operation
For steam ironing, fill the water reservoir as described in section 7.2 before turning on the iron. Water may remain in the reservoir during dry ironing. For the iron to heat up and the indicator light to turn on, the temperature control knob must be set at least to the 'synthetic' position (indicated by a single dot •).
CAUTION! Water leaking from the soleplate during steam ironing indicates insufficient heating. Set the temperature control knob to a higher value. Steam will be emitted once the device reaches the required temperature.
7.5 Dry Ironing
- Place the iron upright.
- Ensure the iron is correctly attached to the recharging base and the base lock is in the locked padlock position (?).
- Set the steam adjustment knob to the (??) (no steam) position.
- Connect the power cord plug to a grounded electrical outlet.
- Set the desired ironing temperature by rotating the temperature control knob to the selected position.
CAUTION! Water may remain in the water reservoir during dry ironing. CAUTION! Before ironing, check the laundry care label for the required ironing temperature.
Temperature Setting | Material | Temperature | Recommendations |
---|---|---|---|
OFF | Turned off | ||
• | Synthetic fabrics (e.g., acrylic fibre, nylon, polyamide, polyester) | Low temperature | Always check on a small, inconspicuous part of the clothing before wearing. |
•• | Silk, wool | Normal temperature | |
••• | Cotton (cotton) | Normal or high temperature | |
MAX | Linen (linen) | High temperature |
If you are unsure of the fabric type, determine the correct temperature by ironing a small, hidden part of the garment first.
CAUTION! Always start ironing with garments requiring the lowest temperature.
- When the iron heating indicator light is on, the iron is connected to the power source and heating up to the set temperature.
- When the light goes off, the iron has reached the desired temperature.
7.6 Spray Function
This function is used to remove stubborn creases. To moisten the fabric, press the spray button (?) several times. Water will be dispensed from the spray nozzle at the front of the iron.
7.7 Steam Burst Function

- Ensure there is enough water in the reservoir (refer to section 7.2 if needed).
- Place the iron upright.
- Set the temperature control knob to at least the 'silk wool' setting (••).
- Connect the power cord plug to a grounded electrical outlet.
- The indicator light will turn on and will go off when the iron reaches the desired temperature.
- Aim the soleplate at the fabric and press the steam burst button (?).
7.8 Steam Ironing
- Ensure there is enough water in the reservoir (refer to section 7.2 if needed).
- Place the iron upright.
- Set the temperature control knob to at least the 'wool' setting (••).
- Set the steam burst control to one of the three selectable steam power settings.
- Connect the power cord plug to a grounded electrical outlet.
- The indicator light will turn on and will go off when the iron reaches the desired temperature.
- The iron will emit steam only when in a horizontal position.
- After finishing steam ironing, move the steam burst control to the (??) (no steam) position.
7.9 After Ironing
- Place the iron on its base in the upright position and set the lock to the locked padlock icon (?).
- Unplug the iron from the power source.
- Wait for it to cool down.
- Empty the water reservoir.
- Store in a dry, well-ventilated place.
CAUTION! If the thermostat fails, a thermal protection mechanism will prevent the iron from overheating.
