D. iOS Compatible Mode
The PC-K220USB can connect to iPad/iPhone via USB for recording, streaming, and music appreciation. Low iOS versions may cause incompatibility; updating to the latest system version is recommended. If the connection is unstable due to a phone case, remove the case. If an incompatibility message appears ("Unsupported USB device"), ensure the iOS version is up-to-date. The microphone may also be compatible with some Android phones, but compatibility varies by device and system version.
Precautions
- Maintain a distance of 20-30 cm between your mouth and the microphone. Too close can cause distortion, too far reduces sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio.
- Do not cover the microphone grille with your hand, as it affects sound pickup.
- Mount the microphone on a stand rather than holding it to avoid handling noise and sweat corrosion.
- Use the provided windscreen or a pop filter to prevent plosive sounds ("p" and "b") and moisture from affecting the capsule.
- Avoid using the microphone with speakers placed close by to prevent audio feedback (howling). If using speakers, maintain a significant distance and avoid pointing the microphone directly at them.
Troubleshooting
- LED does not light up: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected. Try reconnecting or using a different USB port.
- No sound during playback: Check cable connections for both the microphone and headphones. Ensure headphone volume on the microphone and volume in the app/computer are not set too low.
- Microphone has no sound: Verify the USB connection. Check if microphone and headphone volumes are set too low and adjust accordingly.
- No sound recorded or recorded sound is too low: Ensure the USB connection is secure. Check microphone volume settings within the recording software and the computer's recording device volume.
- Dual sound during mobile live streaming: Some live streaming apps lack a monitoring mute function, causing echo. If this occurs, set the mobile device's volume to minimum.
