Remote Control
The remote control allows wireless operation of the soundbar. Key buttons include:
- (power) button: Turns the soundbar on/off.
- (sound source selector) button: Cycles through available sound sources.
- +/- (volume) buttons: Adjusts the volume.
- (mute) button: Mutes or restores sound.
- Playback buttons (for Bluetooth/USB): (previous) / (play/pause) / (next).
- PAIR button: Press and hold for three seconds to disconnect Bluetooth.
- BASS +/- button: Adjusts bass volume when bass enhancement is active.
- THEATER/STANDARD/NEWS buttons: Selects the sound mode.
Status Indicator Lights:
- Red: Standby mode
- Blue: Bluetooth mode (blinks during pairing)
- Orange: AUX mode
- Green: Digital optical mode
- Purple: USB mode
- Turquoise (blinking): Bass mode
- Green/Blue/Red (blinking): DSP mode
Remote Control Sensor: Detects signals from the remote control. Ensure it is not blocked.
Connecting Your Soundbar
Turn off all devices before making connections. Choose one of the following connection options:
Digital Optical Connection
- Remove caps from the optical cable.
- Connect one end to the soundbar's OPTICAL jack.
- Connect the other end to the Digital Optical Output jack on your source device.
- Set the source device's audio output to PCM format.
- Select the green indicator (digital optical mode) on the soundbar using the (sound source selector) button.
3.5 mm AUX Connection
- Connect one end of the 3.5 mm audio cable to the AUX IN jack on the soundbar.
- Connect the other end to the headphone or AUX Output jack on your source device.
- Select the orange indicator (AUX mode) on the soundbar using the (sound source selector) button.
USB Sound Source Connection
- Plug a USB thumbdrive with MP3 or WAV files into the USB port on the soundbar.
- Turn on the soundbar.
- Select the purple indicator (USB mode) on the soundbar using the (sound source selector) button.
- Control playback using the remote control's playback buttons.
Connecting Using Bluetooth
Pairing Your Devices:
- Turn on the soundbar.
- Place your Bluetooth device within 30 ft. (10 m).
- Select the blue indicator (Bluetooth mode) on the soundbar using the (sound source selector) button until it blinks blue.
- On your Bluetooth device, turn on Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "NS-HTSB205" from the device list.
- If prompted, enter PIN code "0000".
- The LED will light solid blue when pairing is complete.
Notes on Bluetooth:
- The soundbar automatically connects to the last connected device if it's in range.
- To connect to a different paired device, turn off Bluetooth on the current device or unpair it.
- Music playback may pause for phone calls.
Disconnecting Your Devices: Turn off the Bluetooth function on your device.
Connecting the AC Power Adapter
- Connect the AC adapter cable to the DC IN jack on the soundbar.
- Plug the AC power adapter into a power outlet. Ensure the outlet matches the adapter's input requirements (100-240V AC at 50/60Hz).
Using Your Soundbar
Listening to Your Soundbar:
- Press the (power) button on the soundbar or remote to turn it on.
- Turn on your connected sound source device and start playback.
- Use the (sound source selector) button to choose the correct sound source.
- Adjust the volume to a comfortable level.
- Press the (power) button to turn off the soundbar when finished.
IR Remote Learning Function (Optional):
This function allows your soundbar to learn commands from other remote controls, enabling control with a universal remote. Refer to the full manual for detailed programming instructions (Manual Sequence Learning Mode and Preset Sequence Learning Mode).
Deleting All Learned Remote Codes: Press and hold the (power) button for 10 seconds. The status indicator will blink white twice.
Mounting Your Soundbar

Troubleshooting
- No Power: Ensure the AC adapter is securely plugged in and the soundbar is turned on.
- Remote Not Working: Check for obstructions, replace batteries, or move closer to the soundbar.
- Sound Breaking Up/Buzzing: Verify correct audio output jacks are used, connections are secure, and the OPTICAL source is set to PCM. Try different cables or source devices.
- Hearing TV and Soundbar: Mute or turn off the TV's internal speakers.
- TV Remote Not Controlling Soundbar: Ensure the soundbar has learned the remote codes. Aim the remote correctly and select the right source.
- No Sound/Low Volume: Check connections, volume levels (on soundbar and source device), mute status, and selected sound source. Ensure OPTICAL source is set to PCM.
- No Sound/Low Volume in Bluetooth: Verify Bluetooth is on, the device is paired, and volumes are adjusted on both the soundbar and the Bluetooth device.
- Bluetooth Connection Issues: Reduce distance, restart devices, re-pair, ensure pairing mode is active, and select the correct device name.
- Bluetooth Device Unpairing: Reduce distance and ensure the Bluetooth device battery is charged.
- "NS-HTSB205" Not Appearing: Reduce distance, put the soundbar in pairing mode, and refresh the device list. Ensure the Bluetooth device is discoverable.
- Sound Lagging/Echo: Mute TV speakers or adjust TV audio delay settings.
